So my touchpad is definitely ELAN. I wish you provided ELAN drivers for Mac... That way I'd be sure I'm using kexts from a secure source. The ones I found on the other forum do not provide support keyboard backlight and I have to take these extra scary steps to fix my brightness keys. So...
How can I find the same information in Windows? Maybe I'm mistaken about having Elan since the drivers that I install on Windows are manufacturer independent (works on Synaptics, Elan etc.).
I see you installed Yosemite 10.10.5 on your Lenovo Y50, which seems identical to mine in hardware, except that mine is FHD.
My question is: What kind of touchpad do you have? If you have ELAN, how did you handle the kexts for it and is the keyboard backlight working? What about the...
I have prepared my USB while following this guide and it's all ready. However, I'm having doubts about the 'Choosing a config.plist' section of the guide.
I chose config_HD4600_4400_4200.plist for my laptop (see signature) and I didn't change anything beside renaming it to config.plist. Do I...
I have tried to find some information on how to write hardware drivers for Mac OS, but with no luck. I want to install Hackintosh on my laptop so I can start with iPhone and OS X development (apps, drivers and such).
Would someone lead me to the right direction?
P.S: I have background...
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI (10.11 beta)
What will happen when the stable release is out. Will that require a whole reinstall (making a new USB with the stable release)?
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
Whoever did this step, I'd appreciate your input on how to create this recovery USB in Windows 10!
This is the only thing I need to do before starting (safety wise).
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
Alright, I'm buying this one. If things go nice with it, I'll stick to it, otherwise I'll get the Broadcom (somehow).
Thanks a lot for your suggestion. :D
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
It is not possible for me to obtain this piece of hardware right now. I would appreciate if you can recommend some good USB WiFis that work with Hackintosh.
My Lenovo Y50 has Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E Network Adapter which is not compatible with Hackintosh (Yosemite).
On this thread that I'm following to guide me through the installation, they recommend Broadcom BCM94352Z, but this seems like a rare one and it's quite expensive...
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
I do not require my wifi to work immediately after installation, I do have access to a cable. All I'm asking is if I can get wifi to work at some point after installation of Yosemite.
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
I have this WiFi card and Ethernet:
Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Adapter PCI
Realtek RTL8723BE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E Network Adapter PCI
Am I still applicable for this guide without replacing any parts of my laptop...
[Guide] Lenovo Y50 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI
Hey, I decided to follow this guide. Before starting I got a few questions:
1. I do not understand the point about "Broadcom BCM94352Z". What should I do with that exactly? Buy a peace of hardware or get drivers or what? How do I know if I...
I do not have access to a Mac all the time to prepare this. It's alright sir, I really appreciate your help.
I didn't know this would require a whole new set of instructions, I thought it would be something simple. Again, sorry for bothering and over-asking.
