[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

Okay, well, the readme for USBInjectAll.kext on your github specifically states: "It should work from EFI/Clover/kexts." Is this no longer the case? I'm injecting the kext with Clover, and everything seems to more or less work... And no, I use Xcode...

    Name the Next macOS (10.13)

Not to rain on everyone's parade, but Piker Alpha mentioned back in April that a little bird told him: "The next version of macOS won’t use a mountain/park name anymore. Two names in the running. One starts with a Mmmm." He goes on to note his little bird is generally pretty accurate...

[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

Er.... yeah.... I guess it would help if I start with the fundamentals. I just never guessed it could be this simple since everything was working before. At any rate, I corrected these issues and all works. Thanks! I have zero idea how the kext got clobbered... it was in...

[Guide] Creating a Custom SSDT for USBInjectAll.kext

I recently noticed that my USB3 ports no longer functioned at full speed. They did back in Yosemite days, so I surmise it was El Cap or Sierra that broke them, and I never noticed. Well, I now need full speed, so I followed the guide in Post #1, and was successful getting all ports correctly...

Direct Update to macOS Sierra using Clover

FWIW, I did a direct upgrade from 10.11.4 to 10.12.3 using, basically, the instructions in the OP. I followed some steps that I found necessary in the past, however, and you may or may not need to do any/all of them for success (and some may have created problems for me initially, not sure...)...

343.02.02f02 NVIDIA Alternate Drivers + Security Update 2015-002 = Broken

Of course, I spoke way too soon. The modified package will not run. I get a JavaScriptError... Any ideas there? EDIT: Nevermind, using vi from the terminal works whereas TextEdit does not...

    OS X 10.10.2 Update

I saw this post of yours and the one related to the Security update breaking the Nvidia web drivers, and figured this was a slam dunk. But no matter what I do, the modified package will not run. I get a JavascriptError when I attempt to run the package. I suspect this is related to what is...

GA-H87N-WIFI USB 3.0 hub showing as USB 2

Nevermind, my hub was bad. I connected it to a Windows PC, and it only showed up as USB 2.0 there too. Got another one and all works fine. Frustrated because I assumed the cause had to be the hackintosh.... not so.

GA-H87N-WIFI USB 3.0 hub showing as USB 2

Hey man0072, you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem with a GA-H97M-D3H... My hub has the same chipset as yours though I'm not sure if it is the B1 or B2 rev....

    [SUCCESS] Yosemite on GA-Z97X-UD3H / i5-4690 / GTX660

I had similar problems with the GBU521. For me, it wasn't a freeze at all, but rather Bluetooth randomly disconnecting and then reconnecting. Look in console and you may find some messages related to that. Solution for me was to connect the adapter through a USB 2.0 port.

    [SUCCESS] GA-Z97M-D3H // i7 4790k // 16GB RAM // Intel HD Graphics 4600

Credit where credit is due.... Thanks, Foxlet for a great guide. Without your guide (and specific combination of boot flags), I'd still probably be flailing around. Your guide was the key to my successful Yosemite build...

    [SUCCESS] GA-Z97M-D3H - i7-4970k - 32 GB RAM - Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Yosemite 10.10.2

[SUCCESS] GA-Z97M-D3H - i7-4790k - 32 GB RAM - Intel HD Graphics 4600 - Yosemite 10.10.2 This is my first Hackintosh, but I'm an experience DIYer and hardware hacker. The video card on my mid-2011 iMac died, and rather than spend the hundreds on fixing that (the DIY repair is a pain in the...
