@DifferentComputers @nagha I see you guys have gotten High Sierra on your hacks to work, but I am having a tough time getting mine to upgrade from Sierra. Would you be able to share a thread or resource you used to make the upgrade? I have tried using a recommended base for my config.plist from...
Where can I get a copy of the vanilla IONVMeFamily.kext to repatch?
I am having problems and would like to do a patch, but I can't because I deleted it when I patched before.
Hmm... I couldn't say for your mobo, but the one in this build has only the positive and negative connectors attached. There is no additional power on mine.
I must say that the sleep is really the only thing left on this motherboard that I can think of that isn't working great. I've been very pleased with this computer and I recommend it highly! I do think that after the last OS update I haven't even needed the agdpfix. The clover patch has proven...
I did try to follow the guide above because it required less fixes, but I was never able to get Sierra working under that guide when I was installing from scratch.
It definitely helped in the MacPro 5,1 system definition, but I can't say if it is or isn't helping when using the much more temporary ADGPfix.app I just know that I wish at some point it would hold true.
My best guess (because without a verbose log giving us clues all we can do is guess) is that you need to try your install again. If you can boot in with the USB drive you are very close, but without more information on why it's not working it's impossible to say what is hanging up.
Yes i can confirm that it works great! My only recommendation is that if you're going to have multiple bootable disks, change CloverBoot to something meaningful for that disk so that if you are in your bios boot menu, you'll be able to tell your disks apart. You'll need to do this process for...
Yes, I can see why you thought that, but once I fixed the EN0 as I mentioned above, I really haven't been able to get to the part where I test imessage since I can't get the MLB generator to accept the serial number. I have had a very busy weekend so I haven't tried any other serial...
After more testing, and patiently waiting for the machine to fall asleep, I can say with total certainty that I am having the exact same sleep issues as you-- on both SSD's (MacPro 5,1 and also the iMac 17,1) Furthermore, when I have my external RAID drive plugged in regardless of the...
I have done a test with the Mac Pro as mentioned above (so far have not been able to generate a MLB number) but yes, this works great there. I just have not been successful with the iMac 17,1.
I should say-- I have been successful using the adgp.app in addition but not just the clover kext patch.
I have done it several times. It keeps coming back as "length mismatch" hmmm I guess I keep trying? The serial number I'm getting ready to throw away as a MacPro 5,1 is: CK2078EQEUH which is listed as invalid in the script, but valid on the check in that guide-- of course invalid at apple as...
I just made a drive using this info and it has been surprisingly easy (definitely have to check the box in Clover configurator to use "NvidiaWeb") and I had a few other little things to tidy up (like I wasn't sure with ethernet kext to use in multibeast- but it was still the...
Ok interesting. I think all of our differences are coming down to the issue that I am using iMac 17,1. Something tells me that I would be getting the same performance with less issues if I just switch to MacPro5,1. I definitely don't understand why the definitions can be so problematic, but I...
