    macOS 10.15.5 Supplemental Update

A very easy and uneventful update. Everything seems to work at expected (Audio, Network, Trim, USB etc). On OpenCore 0.5.8

    macOS 10.15.5 Update

I started out by checking the status of Lilu and friends with: kextstat | egrep -i \(alc\|lilu\|green\) and got: Lilu (1.4.4) AppleALC (1.4.9) WhateverGreen (1.3.9) So I started the updater from the appstore and left it on its own. This morning it was sleeping peacefully and I checked that...

    [Help] Opencore panic Fault CR2

I experienced the same Page Fault as you have listed, after updating from OpenCore 0.5.7 to 0.5.8. As my system is really plain vanilla I was really surprised to run into a kernel panic like this. I had painstakingly gone through the differences.pdf and copied over the needed changes, and run...

And remember to use the OpenCore sanity checker. This is really super useful to catch missing or incorrect configuration: https://opencore.slowgeek.com/

    macOS 10.15.4 Supplemental Update

I first updated from OpenCore 0.5.6 to 0.5.7 and then checked my kexts but they were already updated to the latest available versions. I then used the system updater to install the supplemental update. The update took ~15minutes with one reboot to the OpenCore Picker (boot menu) where the...

    macOS 10.15.4 Update

First I updated to Clover 5107 using MultiBeast. BTW, does anyone know where to find Clover Releases nowadays? All the links that I tried appeared dead. All my kexts are under EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other and none of them needed to be updated. I downloaded the combo and updated using that. It...

    macOS 10.15.3 Update

An easy update. I moved the kexts as suggested by Stork, and, after 25 minutes, the system was up again. The first test showed no audio, but after another reboot I had my AppleALC back again. Thanks for all the hard work to the team at tonymacx86.com!

    macOS 10.15.2 Update

It has taken me some time to convince myself that upgrading to Catalina would be a good decision. The drawbacks as I see them are: No 32bit support - Losing these items: Canon Scanner Ap (Not going to be updated, Canon replied to me) Harmony Control App (Silverlight app - sigh!) VPN Client...

    How to Update Clover v2.4k r4xxx to v2.5k r5xxx (v2.4k r4972 to v2.5 r5018 example)

Thanks Anachronaut, for the very detailed post. In my case I got the OsxLowMemFix driver instead of the AptioMemoryFix-64 driver, and as you predicted the system did not boot after that. So the copy of the AptioMemoryFix-64 got installed and the OsxLowMemFix deleted, and I was up and running...

Thanks. I will give that a try.

    macOS 10.14.6 Supplemental Update 2

I am staying at Clover version 4972, not planning any updates anytime soon, since I have not had any luck with the newer versions. Does anybody have a good update description on Clover past version 4972? I used the combo installer (as I almost always do) and the new MacOS update took quite a...

    macOS 10.14.6 Supplemental Update

I updated using the installer. Very unproblematic update. It took a while ~30min, but everything appears to be working as before. I have checked TRIM, Audio, iMessage, Sleeping, USB3 and Ethernet.

    macOS 10.14.6 Update

I first updated Clover to version 5018 but found out that this caused a full stop during boot. This has also been noted by others in this thread. The later Clover versions appear to have changed the installer UI, and the installer do not select the UEFI drivers you already have - which seems...

    macOS 10.14.4 Update

A smooth update with no problems at all. The only nitpick is that Clover never selects the correct partition to boot during installation on my system. I always have wait at the screen to select that during the process.

    macOS 10.14.3 Supplemental Update

Like with the last update (10.14.3) I was not able to apply the downloaded installer, but had to use the System Preferences. It took fairly long time for a supplemental update (~30 minutes), but in the end, everything worked as previously.

    macOS 10.14.3 Update

Before running the update, I upgraded Clover, Lilu and AppleALC to and installing this to /Library/Extensions/ as suggested here: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/an-idiots-guide-to-lilu-and-its-plug-ins.260063/#post-1805653 I usually use the Combo updater, but it would not recognize my macOS...

    macOS 10.14.2 Update

I updated using the downloaded combo package file. Apparently the Installer now updates the boot drive selection in NVRAM, since it started to boot a different disk (that has Arch Linux on it) rather than my usual MacOS disk. This seems to be a new feature... The update went smooth but the...

    macOS 10.14.1 Update

I updated using the downloaded combo package file. The update went smooth but the audio was not available after rebooting and doing repeated reboots did not improve the situation. I then updated the Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext on the EFI partition and did a kext cache rebuild (though this only...

macOS Mojave is Now Available on the Mac App Store

Using Clover r4658. Downloaded the Installer from the AppStore and used it to update my system. The total install time was 31 minutes. After the installation there was no Audio - so I did a reboot and voila - the audio patching did its magic. My UEFI Drivers are: ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi...

Error Loading Kernel Cache? I am just about ready to give up on this whole project...

After updating to Clover version 4586 (and doing no other system changes) I also ran into this dreaded "Error Loading Kernel Cache". After many boot attempts I then removed the disk from system and attached it via USB to my MacBook. I then tried downgrading clover to 4533 (my previous version)...
