    Lion Upgrade

    Should be okay. However, I recommend that you create a bootable clone of your system using either Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper. Make sure the clone works and then update the clone to Lion. That way if something goes wrong you can always just boot into your original unchanged system.

    There is no 10.6.4 retail disc. The grey restore discs that come with a real Mac will not work. You need to get a retail version (10.6.0 or 10.6.3). The retail discs have a picture of a Snow Leopard on them.

    You should be able to go straight to LION. This assumes that you can (or have) purchased Lion from the App Store and can make a UniBeast stick with you MacBook Pro.

    The contents of the iBoot zip file is a bootable iso file. All you need to do is burn the iso file to a disc. You do not need to unpack the iso file, build any image or add anything to it. Simply burn the iso file to a disc.

    What guide are you following to install? Have you properly set your BIOS per the iBoot + MulitBeast guide? Have you tested you system for stability at 5.0 GHz? You may want to go back to stock settings when doing your install. You can always go back to your OC settings later.

    Stating the obvious, but we have to start somewhere. Have you ruled out the memory as the culprit? You say it boots fine with only 3 modules. Have you swapped the one you took out for the other one to confirm that it boots with either of your new modules installed?

    How do you know the system is okay if it does not boot? What exactly did you select in MultiBeast? If you boot with the -v bootflag what error do you get?

    What version of Snow Leopard? What hard drive are you installing on? Did you install a Network kext?
