    Since your hardware is not supported I also recommend you to go to the forums for your motherboard, and google everything you don't understand As a starter kexts is short for kernel extension, that by itself is a good concept of what a driver is.

    Gigabyte z97 UD5H ALC 1150 Audio Not Working I don't get it, the 'Internal speakers' is the green audio port which (in my case) turns into the 'Headphone port' if I use the front panel. As far as I know your audio works perfectly fine, could you elaborate on your problem?

    When I installed the ALC 1150 drivers with multibeast, but it was giving me kernel panic until I erased the kexts and reinstalled again with a secondary installation of the os I like to keep.

    I only had to restore the audio kext, I did it before the system booted up with my second installation, so I never lose audio. Interestingly enough it fixed a time machine problem I noticed a few days ago. I could only see the backups of the last day on my desktop folder even thought the others...
