Hi, just a quick question, should I log out of iCloud before changing SysDef with MultiBeast ? I thought any change to the Serial Number could cause issues with iCloud ID.
Thanks =)
Well I did it and everything is working well... aside from he fact that my computer won't shutdown anymore T_T
I tried FixShutdown in clover configurator, I tried removing the PowerManagement pref in L/Preferences. It looks like it's shutdown, and a few second later it starts on its own, even...
Thanks, I wasn't sure MacOs was asking where to install.
A last question, is it better to use the MacAppStore version or the combo version of MacOS (available on the Apple website) ?
Hi,
This might sound like a stupid question, but I'd like to know how I can install a fresh Catalina to a new SSD directly from my High Sierra (working) computer ?
I can format and install clover easily on the new SSD, but as for Catalina install, how should I proceed ? If I remember correctly...
Did you disable the iGPU in the BIOS ? I couldn't update to High Sierra because of having 2 GPU (Discrete + iGPU), removing one did the trick. Either disable in the Bios the iGPU or physically remove discrete GPU.
Also, are you trying to install from scratch or update ? If it's an update, did...
Hi, not sure wether you fixed it, but in case: you shouldn't enable the iGPU, it's the multi-GPU setup that is creating an issue from my understanding. So basically try in your BIOS to disable both the iGPU and 1 card (I don't know if the SLI cable will be an issue or not) and see if you can...
Just to indicate how I managed to update if other have the same setup as mine and some issues : I went into the bios, found the iGUP and put it on disabled, saved and reboot, then I got an error from the installer telling me it couldn't find the right bundle. So reboot back into Sierra, then I...
The issue is explained by Rehabman in this thread, with a software fix :

Basically if you don't want to do "complex" manipulations in your files (I say complex cause I don't understand them, but since...
.
Did you just disconnect the power plug from the card or did you have to go as far as disconnecting the card from the motherboard ? I'd like to avoid tearing all my stuff apart if possible =D
Thanks for the solution, one thing I don't understand is why not everyone with Nvidia cards is getting this error ? And what's more, it happens sometimes on GPUs that were supported oob by macOS O_o
One question : I haven't change my config.plist since my first install of Clover 3 years ago, can it be part of the issue ? Does that file needs to be updated from time to time like Clover or the kexts ?
If I remember correctly, you need to check "inject INTEL" in clover boot ->option->graphics to enable the iGPU. And of course plug your display to the HDMI of the motherboard and not to the discret GPU (yeah, sounds stupid, but it cost me 2 hours once -_-)
I'm at the same point =/ I'm tempted to physically disconnect the gtx and try with the iGPU but it's a pain as my computer isn't easily accessible -_-
I also tried purging nvram, no luck either.
Hi, someone fixed that by unchecking 'inject nvidia' in the clover boot -> options ->graphics.
However if like me it's already unchecked... well I'm still stuck :banghead::mrgreen: I even uninstalled nvidia web drivers, didn't help !
Thanks for the info, I indeed suppose it's linked to the GPU because the behaviour slightly changed when I used nv_disable=1 (the wheel appeared on the progress bar, but it still stopped). Unfortunately Nvidia inject already isn't ticked in my boot options T_T
Ok, mine is a Kingston so I guess it's not the issue. I had about the same free space as you so I freed over 50Go but it didn't change anything either.
