Was running 10.10.2. No problems updating to 10.10.5. I then updated to 10.11.3 and ran into 2 issues.
1) I used auto_master and auto_data in \etc to auto load my sever directory on boot. It's a smb logged in as guest. Worked fine in 10.10.2 and 10.10.5, but in 10.11.3 it no longer works...
I have a Core i7-4790k - ASUS Z97-A - 16GB RAM - EVGA GeForce GT740.
The hack works great with a MacPro3,1 or iMac14,2 SMBIOS definition. I inject using Clover for my boot loader. However, my specs most closely match an iMac15,1. I have a complete SMBIOS built up for an iMac15,1 system...
As part of getting sound to work after sleep, one of the last steps (http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/152953-solved-no-sound-after-sleep-alc892-yosemite-clover-help-fix.html) is to set Darkwake=8 (which I did). It was originally darkwake=0. In both cases sleep and wake worked fine on my ASUS...
I recently did a fresh install of 10.10.2 using Clover because Chrimera/Multibeast was giving me weird reboot cycles on any restart.
I successfully installed 10.10.2 using Clover on a UEFI USB drive, but I had to remove the AppleIntelE1000e.kext from EFI/EFI/Clover/Kexts/10.10/ because of...
My boot up kept hanging if I had AppleIntelE1000e.kext in my Clover/EFI/EFI/Kexts/10.10 folder, so I moved it to S/L/E. However now my boot still hangs right after it loads, and I can no longer boot with USB because the kext is in S/L/E!
I've even tired -x for safe mode, no luck.
Any help?
I decided to do a clean install today. I fired up Clover Confuigurator to edit my config.plist, EFI partition mounts no problem, I select "Import Configuration" and navigate to the config.plist file and hit "open". But nothing happens in Clover Configurator!? It goes back to the main screen...
I noticed a lot of ASUS Z97 boards are on the compatible list but the Z97-WS isn't. Will it work on a Hackintosh build?

I am building a workhorse Hackintosh and need advice on a motherboard (I don't game, just run dual DVI monitors, so ignore the lame GPU!).
So far I have:
CPU: i7-4790k
GPU: EVGA GeForce GT 740 Superclocked Single Slot 2GB DDR3 Graphics Cards 02G-P4-2742-KR
Case: Thermaltake Commander...
I am doing a new build for a hackintosh.
