@RehabMan
I have just updated my HP Probook 450 G2 Haswell from the PBI to your hotpatch method: excellent work from you, thank you!
Here are some minor issues I have noticed (for my model):
- the G2 Haswell uses the SSDT-KEY87.aml
- install_acpi.sh without argument prints help text that...
Please verify that testing the BT mouse without wifi should include:
1) disabling WIFI in your access point(s)
2) moving the laptop to a place where there are no other 2.4GHz networks (e.g. from your neighbours)
3) checking that your computer is not set up as an access point (e.g. WIFI...
I had the same issues with my Magic Mouse. It appears to be related to interference between WIFI and Bluetooth, see also here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201542.
My problems went away after I had switched from a 2.4GHz to a 5GHz channel.
Hope this helps.
As of this morning both the wake-up after 7 hours of sleep and three short-term sleep-wake cycles (with either BT or Wifi turned off) have been without incident. I have reinstalled Little Snitch to see if that will influence the behaviour.
Ok, will remove them and get back after some more tests, thanks!
P.S. I'd really miss the benefits of a host-based application firewall like Little Snitch, is there another or a better way to control outbound traffic on the host?
Thank you again for your help!
Both 'Wake for network access' and 'Power Nap' are disabled in Energy Saver settings.
Here are the requested files:
Please note that the following folders have been removed from the CLOVER folder in the attached archive:
misc, doc and themes
The situation has improved, but I still see reboots on wake every now and then. I have compared the logs for successful and unsuccessful wake-up scenarios (note that I have omitted some log entries most likely unrelated to the issue):
1. Successful wake after 7.5 hours of sleep

I think I can answer my question myself: in the original DSDT file the relevant PRW methods return 0x6D, so I will start over and try the "usb_prw_0x6d_xhc.txt" patch.
If everything works fine I will ask Nguyenmac to update the relevant parts of the PBI.
Thank you! How would you know whether to use 0x6D or 0x0D? I have applied "usb_prw_0x0d_xhc.txt" without success, and searching for _PRW methods in my patched DSDT revealed this:
Device (HS06)
{
Name (_ADR, 0x06) // _ADR: Address...
The patch will make six changes to the stock PBI DSDT (after installation):
It will remove two _PRW methods (for devices LANC and XHC) and add these four statements for the addresses that match:
begin Name(_PRW, Package() { 0x0D, 0 }) end;
As you pointed out in your FAQ the two _PRW...
I thought that the PBI did apply the PWR patch, but apparently only partially. This is what it does during installation (for a PB 4x0 G1/G2):
# set _PRW methods to return 0
into method label _PRW parent_adr 0x001D0000 code_regex Return[^(]*\([^(]*\(([^,]*)[^)]*[^,]* replace_matched
begin...
OK, everything is working now!
Here's what I changed after installation of latest PBI CE:
1) Implemented Clover patch to rename EHC1 to EH01 and EHC2 to EH02
@nguyenmac: this should probably go into the PBI as a default patch for the DSDT
2) created custom USB injector for the XHC...
I am happy to help, here is my injector:
But, and here is where I still need some help, although all ports work, USB 3.0 speed does not!
I have modelled my injector configuration after the output of the command lsusb of my Linux system, which sits on the same computer. This revealed the...
I guess you are having the same problem I had:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/174392-hp-probook-450-g2-haswell-issues-after-upgrade-el-capitan.html
Try creating an injector kext based on one of the linked samples from Rehabman's excellent guide about this issue...
Problem solved, the injector did the trick! Thank you very much!
One question remains how to best incorporate this into the PBI, because the injector configuration seems to be not only model specific but also very much dependent on the individual bios settings. One way I could think of is to...
Hi guys,
I have just upgraded from Yosemite to El Capitan following this guide:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-guides/168236-guide-install-10-11-beta-hp-elitebook-probook-others-clover-uefi.html
and everything is working as expected, but there are two little issues remaining:

Hi there,
indeed, I have two disks in my laptop: an SSD and the original factory disk. Yosemite is installed on the SSD and on the other one I have a hfs partition that is permanently mounted and some linux partitions (swap and os). As an experiment I mounted the EFI partition manually under...
A Big thank you for your help!
Unfortunately the installer won't generate the troubleshooting files if it fails with 'exit 1' in the patcher section, but I found something useful in the install.log (attached). Look at this line:
Jan 21 15:52:08 foo.bar installd[1113]: ./postinstall...
I just tried to upgrade my PBI on my HP ProBook 450 G2 to the latest release: "HP ProBook Installer Clover Edition 6.2.15 RC10.zip", but the installation failed. Upon further investigation I found that there was a problem in the generation of the DSDT.dsl. Here's what I did:
ACPI tables...
