    Can I please ask where this would be for Catalina when it's being booted into to install? This is on a mojave machine. I ask as Catalina is crashing and I'd like to access the logs to figure out why...

    Am having the same problem as in this thread, and changing default boot volume to either LastBootVolume or my volume's name hasn't made any difference. Wondering if it could be something else?

    There is a guide for this notebook for Mojave and thanks alot to RehabMan I've enjoyed Hackintosh(s) for the last several years. However several items didn't work on that guide on my computer and it needed much tweaking to get it going, so I'm posting a description of what worked for anyone else...

    hrmmn well the only thing i changed in my bios was the length of the boot display menu and the boot order. that shouldn't affect it, right?

    I see, thank you. Yes it did have windows and it did have one strange crash, but not this frequent. I didn't run windows on it for very long at all though, not long enough to make an accurate comparison. I used the one for Clover UEFI on hp probooks...

    Right. Well no it's a 'new' machine I got refurbished from a computer shop downtown. So I don't know. Maybe i should try Yosemite, though I suspect I'll have the same problem. to be clear, the artifacts are a separate issue, the major one is crashing... (not sure if they're related)

    Thanks! The standard set as from the 'HP Probook installer' for this model of HP elitebook as indicated on the guide for 10.11, nothing extra. Want me to list them?

    Hi Rehabman, thank you so much for responding! It's still happening though, I did an EC reset for over a minute, probably total overkill. Wondering if I should just format and try Yosemite....
