    gIOScreenLockState 3 after reboot

In fact it just booted with the two monitors plugged in but one of them took some time to be detected. Next time I get stuck I will try to unplug one (not very user friendly as I always could boot with my 2 monitors in mojave)

    gIOScreenLockState 3 after reboot

Hello, I upgraded from Mojave to Catalina 10.15.6. I migrated from Clover to OpenCore 0.5.9 prior upgrating to Catalina. Catalina worked OK: dual screen, network, 5.1 audio. But after a reboot today I get the dreaded gIOScreenLockState 3 error. I checked my bios for DVMT memory and it is set to...

[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

18,1 is i5-7xxx so I fear 18,2 will not change things a lot but it's worth a try

[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

Verify your SMBios settings. With an i5 7500 you should try iMac18,2 and check if this enables dual screen on your setup (I had to switch to iMac14,3 on a i7-4790K for dual screen to work with only a correct ig-platform-id)

[solved] Mojave dual screen with Intel HD4600

It's finally another post (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/intel-hd-2500-igpu-working-mojave.261694/) that gave me the solution. I changed my SMBIOS to iMac 14,3 using CloverConfigurator. iMac14,3 has a very similar CPU (I7-4770S vs i7-4790K for my hackintosh) so I took the chance and voilà...

[Guide] Intel Framebuffer patching using WhateverGreen

I am also looking for dual monitors on Mojave... any topic to follow for this specific need? edit: framebuffer patching is not enough for dual monitors, your SMBios should also match a model with identical CPU/IGPU for dual screen to work. For my i7-4790K I used iMac14,3 instead of multibeast...

[solved] Mojave dual screen with Intel HD4600

Hello I just upgraded from El Capitan to Mojave. Everything went very well and I am very impressed as audio, ethernet and intel graphics were OK without tweaking right after multibeast. Nevertheless I have a dual screen setup and, of course, this is not working... On another hackintosh with...

UniBeast: Install macOS Mojave on Any Supported Intel-based PC

I got boot0 error while booting on my USB stick (unibeast created). I could fix that by setting my USB to GUID partition table instead of the default MBR.

Sunrise PointH HD Audio - ALC221

Hello Just a little note for those who have the same setup : Intel Sunrise Poin-H HD Audio with ALC221 codec which is not natively supported by cloverALC-120.sh|command. I managed to have sound working with Voodoo HDA 2.8.9. I put the kext in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.12 and rebooted. I did not use...

Skylake Intel HD 530 Integrated Graphics Working as of 10.11.4

Hello Thanks to this thread I managed to make my HD530 work with sierra without any glitches. My main concern is about dual monitors. I read somewhere in the thread that you can trick Sierra by switching on the second monitor after the boot. This solution would be ok for me but it does not...

Yosemite 10.10.2 - Reboot after HDD spin down

I don't know if I need it in fact. I know this is not the root reason of my reboots as I installed it afterwards (my first multibeast install was minimalistic). I will remove it (how? will multibeast uninstall it if I run it again and un-check it? or do I have to do it manually?) just to be...

Is it possible to set up raid 1 on two partitions in the same physical drive?

What would be the point? Raid-1 is here to recover from total HDD failure. If your one HDD raid-1 fails, you loose all your data! Raid-1 is no timemachine. You can not recover a file from the second partition if you delete/mess-up with it on the "first" partition (in fact you do not see 2...

Yosemite 10.10.2 - Reboot after HDD spin down

Hello I just did a Yosemite fresh-install on my computer. Almost everything looks fine except it reboots after mecanical hard drives spin-down: I can hear the HDD stopping and 5 to 10 seconds later my computer reboots! If I disable hard drive sleep under the power-saving settings I do no...
