I just confirmed it using my Windows installation with cpu-z. This is the reason why I get a laggy launchpad as well (HIDPI rendering). On charger everything is fine, but without it its completely useless.

How does it look? Is it possible that my CPU was made to reach 2GHz single core (4.47 W) when on battery? Because on charger it reaches 3.1GHz (10W), which is a huge difference. See graph for example..I unpluged the cable while benchmarking

Will do. Before I was using a macbook 9,1 SMBIOS because the CPU as it is exactly the same with this macbook: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook/specs/macbook-core-m7-1.3-12-early-2016-specs.html But you told me to change it to a 6,2 SMBIOS because of the X86PlatformPlugin patching...

Unfortunately I still get a laggy launchpad..:(. Seems like my graphics card is a potato. What I noticed until now: On charger, the cpu works faster (reaching 3.1Ghz per core) while on battery it reaches only 2.0GHz. Launchpad is laggy only on HIDPI.

I applied the patch, restarted with invalid ig platform id, everything was glitchy, restarted after rebuilding kext and kernel and changing to correct ig platform id, I still cant see the HIDPI option on 1080p and everything seems the same.

My ig platform id is: 0x191e0000. Shall I use the patch mentioned for skylake (which says its supported) and change the MB's to match with 128?
