@razzvg can you clarify some things please.
How are you making your USBMap kext?
Are you using Hackintool?
If so, did you follow the guide in Hackintool?
I ask because although the guide doesn't say to, when I created my USBPorts.kext using Hackintool I had the rename for EC0 to EC enabled...
@razzvg when you generate your USBPorts.kext using Hackintool the SSDT-EC is generated the same time. just add that to EFI\Clover\ACPI\Patched and disable or remove the renaming. works for me.
Follow the guide in Hackintool by clicking the information icon at the bottom of the usb tab
@spurdo88 if you read through RehabMan's guide about how to correctly implement the USB ports he explains why USBInjectAll is not a permanent fix
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-creating-a-custom-ssdt-for-usbinjectall-kext.211311/
I used an active DP>HDMI adapter made by plugable from...
@martinjsteven In Hackintool under the USB tabs, click the i icon at the bottom and it will load the instructions to follow to correctly make your USBPorts.kext. If you got them working using USBInjectAll.kext then bare in mind that that is considered just a temporary fix
@ipmungam The install should work fine apart from the USBPorts.kext mapping. You can get around that using USBInjectAll.kext and ACPI edits till you make your own USBPorts.kext
@a7med I found with Catalina that if you don't have either a generated SSDT-EC.aml in the EFI\Clover\ACPI\Patched folder for your USB ports OR have the the "change EC0 to EC" ACPI patch enabled then the installer won't boot and will panic.
Also, its best to install on either a USB 2.0 port or...
@ipmungam For Hackintosh then yes, Ubuntu I have no idea. Yes fixed means it works from the SD Card header. I don't use my ED 800 G2 TWR anymore as I upgraded to a 800 G3 mini and coverted the G2 TWR into a NAS (loads of room for drives with some case mods). What makes you think it won't work...
@Sprewy I assume you have installed clover to your install and aren’t booting from the usb every time?
to install the kexts go to EFI\Clover\Kexts\Other and copy them to the desktop. Download Kext Beast, run it and select \Library\Extensions. That will install all kexts on the desktop to said...
@Sprewy Try the attached EFI. If it works install all kexts in \Clover\Kexts\Other to \Library\Extensions\ (you can look up the method if you don't know how to) then delete all kexts EXCEPT FakeSMC.kext from the \Kexts\Other folder.
This EFI should work fine for both High Sierra and Mojave with...
You apply the patch using clover configuration. I’ve trued myself to get dual displays working but gave up in the end and no longer use that system for my hackintosh.
If you can link the guide I’ll take a look.
I know you can patch the frame buffer using Hackintool to correct the connector...
@rbarceloss attached is the EFI and kexts I use for my OptiPlex 3020 tower build running 10.14.4. Everything barring sleep works fine. Sometimes the graphics lag a little after log in but this is negligible. I haven't spent too much time on this build as my main is far better.
Hopefully this...
I have changed the EFI above and reuploaded it. Try that.
If it works be sure to open the config.plist in clover configurator and generate new serials and smUUID under the SMBIOS section otherwise if other people use that folder they will have the same serial/smUUID as you
Also, if you...
try this EFI. It should allow your USB's to work although you will need to look into creating a USBPorts.kext and remove some of the kext/patches in this folder afterwards. I've added some extra kexts that should allow for proper graphics acceleration and audio along with general stability. As I...
@spnr you have a very bare EFI folder. I will upload one I use for my Elitedesk 800 G2 TWR and you can see how that works for you. I just need to update the kexts within it
