for everyone who tried this... its obvious to me but many ppl forget.... rebuild kext cache after doing the mod and it should work

you need to add nv_disable=1 in boot args this will disable nvidia drivers and boot basic graphics drivers and will let you boot to desktop

Clover 2988 is buggy on many systems, stick with 2976 been trying for hours to get it working with 2988, took me 15 minutes once i realized it was 2988 causing the problem thanks for the guide Tony!

Hey everyone, im building a new x79 system and most of the guide out there uses Chameleon or clover instead of Chimera stating Chimera have issues with x79...but most threads are dating back.. Is Chimera now ok to use on x79 boards TIA
