[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

I did, I've been updating GitHub but haven't been on here. On 15.1.2 at the moment.

    THE Solution:Dell DW1820A (Broadcom BCM94350ZAE) macOS 15

A value of c4096 indicates that no firmware update was patched into the device at all. It would be pretty much functioning in crippled mode. Also in theory, WiFI and Bluetooth are entirely separate. PCI-E has 3 interfaces which can be used USB, SD-IO or PCI-E. Your card uses USB for Bluetooth...

[FIX] BCM94352z DW1560 BT lost after sleep

Its compiled as the normal BrcmPatchRAM is compiled, cross-compatible between OS X versions. @Cabriolet remarked @GridH's version was compiled against 10.14.x only. Additionally, I've merged @GridH's fix into the BrcmPatchRAM master branch at https://github.com/the-darkvoid/BrcmPatchRAM

[FIX] BCM94352z DW1560 BT lost after sleep

I've compiled a new version of BrcmPatchRAM with the changes from @GridH. This is compiled as per default settings against 10.6+ (BrcmPatchRAM) and 10.12+ (BrcmPatchRAM2) Both debug and release versions attached.

Definitely haven't had the same issue. Migrated all EFI drivers to the new structure and all seems fine. Also OpenCore with v0.3 seems more stable now and might soon be a production ready alternative.

If you have to use disablegfxfirmware, that means WhatEverGreen.kext is not loading successfully.

The new files specify the frame-buffer controller through device property injection, as opposed to SSDT-CONFIG and SSDT-IGPU. So the existing AML's need to be removed first and the following properties should be in config.plist at least: <key>Devices</key> <dict>...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

If you disable WhateverGreen indeed -disablegfxfirmware is required not to have Apple drivers try and update your IGPU firmware. The hash data never returned error is the firmware update failing. Since your computer boots, it seems like your WhateverGreen.kext is not finding a proper...

Personally I am quite impressed with how stable OpenCore 0.1 is. But you are right, Clover works just as well at this stage. Let's keep an eye on how either develops. The advantage of OpenCore is that it is a new clean EFI bootloader from scratch, while Clover has significant legacy attached...

With the introduction of OpenCore, I've now committed an OpenCore configuration to the repository. It would be good to get some feedback from users to see how well it works and what can be improved.

After each update, you have to rebuild the kernel cache in order for the touchpad to work. Just ensure you rebuild the kernel cache using kext utility or other tools.

If you could share your custom CPUFriend, I'll make it available for others in the repository. Regarding the bootchime, I'm waiting for the functionality to stabilize in Clover. When using the Clover native audio method, the results are varying and it does not work properly always. Additionally...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

The battery life on the XPS 9360 is not as good on MacOS as it is on Windows, keep this in mind when using for travel purposes. The 9370 or 9380 have a soldered in WiFi chip, which makes the travel case even harder. To be very honest, if you want a trustworthy MacOS machine for travel which...

[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

What you saw is correct. Clover Hotpatching changes existing BIOS tables to allow MacOS to work properly. On top of that we inject additional BIOS tables from the DSDT table to enhance the existing BIOS to support things like battery, brightness etc. Since information is added and not modified...

@kylec, I don't believe @bozma88 left, but he hasn't done any updates in quite a while. Additionally, it would be appreciated that, before you point fingers, you actually know the history: Over a year ago, @bozma88 had already posted he was doing a High Sierra guide, and I replied the...
