Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

I am having the issue with ATI XFX card (7970 3GB). Like described, it crashes in the middle of the boot sequence. Now you offered solution here: A common solution is either flashing a alternate VBIOS on your card (only do if you can recover form a bad flash!) or using Clover to load a...

In Depth: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7970 OC

I am using XFX 7970 3GB card, and I am not able to boot my system up with it. Monitor always shuts down in the middle of the booting, but hard disk continue working. I read it is because of card's BIOS, and that I should load different VBIOS. Anybody knows how to do this? I am stuck :(

    Can't change resolution in Mojave

Well I am running Mojave on Celeron G2030 :) With no issues. The thing is, only resolution is what doesn't work. I am about to buy a new card (like ATI Radeon 7970). I guess that one will work.

    Can't change resolution in Mojave

I have succesfully installed High Sierra and any macOS before it, using ATI Radeon 6570 Now anything I try, shows my graphic card as it has 5mb vram, and only resolution I can choose is 1280x1024. I tried using Clover Configurator, tried injecting ATI, but nothing helped. As I said, this card...

High Sierra installation breaks after few minutes

@BreBo I have tried "rolling back drivers" from Sierra. By rolling back, I mean, I added them to EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other folder found on my EFI partition (no luck with that though). Is that how it should be done ?

High Sierra installation breaks after few minutes

@BreBo Hey, thanks for that info. I will try using FakeCPUID...As for dedicated graphic card... Well my Radeon doesn't really work :) So I am doomed. I can only buy another graphic card and hope it will work. By the way, do you know by any chance, where I can find a list of processors...

High Sierra installation breaks after few minutes

@BreBo Tried Lilu and it broke my current system, so I re-installed it. WhateverGreen.kext is what is left to try I guess. Also, tried kexts from Sierra and it didn't work. I thought, because I didn't have any problems with this card on previous systems (Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite...

High Sierra installation breaks after few minutes

I am step closer... I found the issue. It is my graphic card... I removed it, and used integrated one, and all went good. The thing is, everything looks awful with integrated video card, but at it works. If I use my ATI Radeon mentioned above, the loading of a system fails. The monitor just...
