There is some bad news. This morning the system won't even boot from external HDD clover as it was booting the previous night. Also the yosemite installation on my external media(which worked fine until yesterday) fails to boot too. I think there is some problem with BIOS implementation by my...
Hello Guys, I have clean installed the OS X El Capitan. Created USB bootable drive from the guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/
The installation went smooth. Everything was working fine. Installed CLOVER UEFI on my SSD...
Thanks for all the help guys. Issue has been resolved. I removed the "ig-platform-id" attribute from clover config.plist and kept the "Inject intel" checked. I think the Graphics are getting loaded natively by OS X without the need t=of specifying in the config.plist. Everything is smooth now...
You keep pointed me to the same thread brother. I have read so many theards, forums in recent days. Everyone's stuck in some unique way. Tried the things suggested, but didnt work. For my issue i am still not able to figure out why even after giving wrong (ig-platform-id: x02) the graphics are...
This is weird. The graphics seemed to work just fine[Full QE/CI]. Although I have noticed one new problem. Sometimes when i startup my laptop i am presented with vertical dotted lines on OS X login screen. When I reboot from this screen the next startup is perfectly fine with graphics working...
Thanks brother. So finally after days of Googling I have the full graphics working now.
Fix: Had to change system definition to Macbook pro 8,3 and "ig-platform-id" to "2". So this issue is resolved can close this. Will soon be writing a guide for other's reference :)
I have tried corrected EDID. Didn't work. I have noticed that "System Report > Graphics/Displays" is showing "No kexts loaded" Also in Kext Wizards I don't see any AppleIntelHD4000 kexts or Capri Framebuffer kexts getting loaded.
I am attaching oreg and "System Report" > "Graphics/Displays"...
Ok. I have updated my profile. My laptop's Screen resolution is 1920x1080. I might have made some mistake extracting EDID on windows. Is EDID really required for my build? If yes, any easy way to fetch it on Windows or Linux?
I have got everything working(Battery, Keyboard, Trackpad, 1080p resolution, Ethernet, Audio, Power Management). Everything is working fine except the Graphics :(. I have tried all the configs bootflags. Whenever I inject "Intel Graphics" the system boots into black blank screen. Please help me...
Ok changed the same to config.plist. When using "inject intel" still the system boots into a black screen(waited quite long). Although now when I unchecked "inject intel" and boot the OS X boots into 1080p resolution (half problem solved. I guess?)
I have updated the config.plist. Now using intel4000_1600x900.plist from your laptop config repository. Still when i try to check ''Inject Intel" in clover boot options the system boots into a blank screen(No kernel panic in console). Attaching clover folder and bootlog. Thanks again :)
Here is the latest update:
I was able to install the OS(not in UEFI mode). The UEFI mode is still stuck at "Still waiting for root device". Hence, I installed the OS in legacy mode. The installation was successful. Although I am facing few other issues now.
Graphics: The display is showing...
Sadly, I dont have access to Mac. I really want this to work. I am using USB2 stick and I have tried all three USB ports available on my laptop. Is there any way or any kext to get me going with the installer?
I have downloaded the OS X(Considering I am trying to install yosemite :) )files from legit Mac. But I have created USB installer on windows 10 using the guide:
