Black Screen After Updating to 10.12.5

Hi everyone! Everything is fine with my 1070 G1 from gigabyte. Except I have random big spikes in fan speed. Every now and then the fan ramps up and then immediately shuts down. This was also happening on Linux operating systems but not under windows. Anyone else experiencing this? Under heavy...

    4770 (non k) 10.9.5, 7mb vram

So I finally took out my 280X and tried to boot. Sadly still 7mb vram and I'm only able to boot with PCIRootUID=1. If I remember correctly with 10.9.1 (when my 280X was not in the machine) I didn't need to use PCIRootUID=1 to get to the desktop! :-? Just tested it and with my 10.9.1 install...

    4770 (non k) 10.9.5, 7mb vram

With 10.9.1 the HD 4600 was working fine (no dedicated vga). Than I plugged in my R9 280X and had been using it since (integrated graphics was disabled). Now with 10.9.5 I would like to test some of my code with an intel graphics chip so I tried to boot with IGPU selected in the bios. I have...

Yes I did. Everything was working nicely on 10.9.1, but sadly 10.9.5 is a no go :( I'm going to try other things out. Hopefully there is a solution to my problem. I might try removing my 280X..

    4770 (non k) 10.9.5, 7mb vram

Sadly it does not work. I'm using HDMI and set up my bios to share 64mb of ram. The other weird thing is when I boot with PCIRootUID=1 my audio stops working (grayed out volume indicator). :|

    4770 (non k) 10.9.5, 7mb vram

Hello there! I have a i7 4770 (non k) and I'm unable to get proper video acceleration on 10.9.5. I have a fully working 280x and would like to use the intel chip for testing my projects. To make the machine boot I have to type PCIRootUID=1. With this command osx boots using the HD 4600 but...

    ASUS Q550LF Intel 4400 HD 10.9.4 Help

I have tried all IGPlatformID boot flags. The strange thing is that with PlatformID: " 0A2E0008" the laptops monitor is at full brightness. All other IDs give low brightness... Also with this ID there are no artifacts. Others give slight artifacting when at the login screen.

Hello there! After updating from 10.9.1 on an ASUS Q550LF laptop to 10.9.4 the system does not report any video ram to applications.(it shows 1536 in system report) The applications run fine but if I try to install an application that checks for VRAM the install fails with a 0MB vram warning...

T440s display artifact and not able to hibernate.

I too had the artifacting problem with intel 4400 and 10.9.4 on my friends machine! It looks like I found a solution. (at least for my friends machine: Asus q550lf) I simply changed his color profile to sRGB! System Preferences-Displays-Color-sRGB... Lets hope it helps others!
