How do you make booting up with PCIRootUID=0 permanent? I thought these bot flags had to be manually entered at boot every time.

Different hard drive. I have Windows and Ubuntu on the same disk and OS X on another. Is there any tutorials on how to do this? Thanks

My boot loader is picking up my windows and Lion partitions but there is no option for Linux. Any ideas fellas? Thanks

Yes, I mean those two ports on my board. My other ports work on Windows and Linux so they aren't turned off in Bios.

The only ports that work with OSX for the hard drive and the optical drive are the Sata 6.0 ports. Why is that? This makes it where I can only have one optical drive showing due to me only having two of these Sata 6.0 ports.

I had dual monitors working on SL with straight HDMI out of the card to HDMI into my flat screen. I have one DVI out of the back of the card to the monitor and then I plugged in my HDMI cord into the back of the card to my flat screen TV and nothing. Is Lion the problem? Will it work if I use...

Try running this at iBoot: -v GraphicsEnabler=No and if that doesn't work try those with the addition of PCIRootUID=1

I got the USB working. It was odd because my usb keyboard and mouse were both working. I just deleted the extra folder and played around with multibeast a little more.

After three days of messing with this computer I finally have it running Lion. It was a nonstop struggle for sure.

I updated from 10.6 to 10.6.8 and ran the IOUSB family and rollback kexts before restart of the combo update. My wireless keyboard and mouse work just fine off the USB wireless router but my thumb drives, and dvd rom drive aren't showing up. This is all I need to fix before updating to Lion. Any...

Ok I reinstalled SL, updated it to 10.6.8 and ran easy beast along with the rollback kext in multibeast. Restarted and still nothing. No usb or dvd rom showing up. What should I try next?

I forgot to use rollback on multi beast before i updated to 10.6.8. Now I have no USB or rom drive. What can I do now? I have no internet on the desktop I'm working on so I can't download Multibeast to it again and run it. Do I have to reinstall SL 10.6 and do it all over again?

How do I go about installing the 5xxx drivers now? I guess I will try the combo update to 10.6.8 and see what that does. Thanks Eric

I've installed SL numerous times on this setup with no problems at all. Multibeast had the ATI 5xxx drivers and all. Worked great. I reinstalled SL and the only drivers I'm seeing for graphics is the 4xxx series. It's the same boot and multi beast disc I've always used. What gives?

Keep in touch hydro so we can figure this out. It just doesn't make sense to me because I've installed SL on this machine plenty as well as installed it today right before this problem. I'm using the same exact hardware, SL disk, iboot disk. Now I cant even get to the install screen to reinstall...
