    Any AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement Help?

Gotcha, I'll give it a run. Did a lot of different combinations of the major boot flags about an hour ago, too. Aaaaaaaaand... Upon doing -x -f, the boot hangs up at the following line: "USBMSC Identifier (non-unique): 4320310A67000135 0x781 0x5406 0x200" Not particularly sure what...

    Any AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement Help?

Howdy there, I've been on 10.6.8 for a while now, and finally decided to step it up to Lion. Install went fine, and I was able to boot up into Lion using the -x boot flag. Once there, I used the Lion MultiBeast, and I think I messed it up somewhere, because now I can't boot into anything...

This is a fairly serious emergency. Any Help Appreciated

That's what I'm currently using to access my Mac HD on the Windows partition. Is there any way I can download the individual USBFamily kext, and install it from the Windows 7 OS?

This is a fairly serious emergency. Any Help Appreciated

Now this is pretty serious... I'm on the verge of insanity I think. Basically, after updating to 10.6.8, I lost my USB support. Now, me, being a dumbass, rebooted before running the latest MultiBeast (d'oh!). So, now I am left with a computer that refuses to accept any sort of human input. HOW...

    The Unstoppable Kernel Panic

And we are good. Thanks to.... well no one really replied. Thanks anyway haha. If I hadn't made these useless forum posts then I would have never figured this whole thing out actually... so. If a moderator would like to delete this string: Feel free. It's all good.

    The Unstoppable Kernel Panic

EDIT: RESOLVED!!!!! After about 2 hours of random fiddling and some decidedly more random Google searches, I finally succeeded in booting into the OSX Installer. Installing now, 27 minutes to go. What ended up being the problem was the IOATAFamily kext, which I deleted and now everything works...

    The Unstoppable Kernel Panic

I can't for the life of me figure this out... trying to install OSX 10.6 on a Gateway FX510S, with Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Lavacot motherboard (Intel 975x chipset). I can boot from the iBoot disk (both the new iBoot and the Legacy), but when I replace the disk with my Snow Leopard Retail DVD...

Can't get OSX flash drive to boot

So. I created the SL DVD, everything seems gravy. As soon as I try to boot the disk from the iBoot menu... kernel panic AGAIN. Gray box. "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again." Gonna keep trying... maybe it's a BIOS...

    Building a Monster Hack Pro

Yeah, I thought the same thing at first, but I'm planning on building a 3-room studio with a control room, tracking room, and iso booth (all lined out with snakes and soundproofed of course), so a loud case isn't a problem. Also going to be running 2+ Logic Nodes in a cooled computer farm room...

Can't get OSX flash drive to boot

And therein lies the problem... the computer I'm using, for some reason, REFUSES by all means to read a dual-layer DVD. Regular dvds are completely fine, but for some strange reason, dual-layer just doesn't cut it. I think it's a problem with the drive, but I can't be sure. Is there any way of...

Can't get OSX flash drive to boot

Yeah, when I select the DVD is when all of my problems seem to happen. The gray box pops up, saying "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button etc..." I know that this is a kernel panic of some sort... any ideas on how to get by it?

Can't get OSX flash drive to boot

Now I am sure you guys get this all the time. Hopefully we can collectively come up with some answers... Here's the lowdown: I am trying to install OSX on a Gateway FX510S to use as a main studio computer, and then as a Logic Node once I finish building my Monster Hack Pro. Here is my...

    Building a Monster Hack Pro

Fantastic! I was really thinking that there would be a problem somewhere... but it's great that someone who's running audio applications found this thread! I'm going to be running a combination of Logic 9 and Pro Tools... sadly I'm still on 8.1.1... but will probably be updating to v9 as soon as...

    Building a Monster Hack Pro

Ok, complete newbie here. Been around Macs for a while, but just recently delving into the Hackintosh arena. I want the power of a Mac Pro... without the price tag. The computer will be used in a recording studio, and needs plenty of processing as well as RAM. Here's what I've found on Newegg...
