I doubt there will be a Mac Mini Pro with apple silicon chip.
A pro desktop Mac only makes sense, if you can change components yourself, RAM, GPU, SSD.
Either there will be a mini pro with INTEL CPU and exchangeable components, or (if its apple SI) the mini pro is just like a normal mini M1...
I have a strange behavior with my iPhone here.
When I connect it to the front panel's USB port, the connection is kind of 'flickering' in finder. On/Off all the time.
Especially when the battery in the phone is low, not so much if it is full.
I suspect the power output is too low, is this...
Thank you @jaymonkey
So best practice would be to have all kexts in L/E/ for regular use (because auf integration in Kernel memory) and MOVE the critical ones to /EFI/Clover/Kexts/Other/ before booting updater. And move them back to /L/E/ after update.
I have one more question, if you don`t mind:
I understand that FakeSMC should be in L/E/ AND in /Clover/kexts/Other/ and all other critical kexts, too,
if needed. (LiLu, USBinjectAll, WhateverGreen)...
Should these critical kexts be in /L/E too, or only in /Other?
You have explained, clover is...
First I moved all hackintosh kexts from L/E/ to efi/clover/kexts/other/ as recommended.
Then very smooth update on both my machines like a real mac would, around 15 minutes.
Everything fine so far, nothing to complain.
I have SSDT-USB for both my machines, so no problem here.
The kext is the same that is used when I boot from ssd. It does function.
If I boot from USB stick created with UniBeast 10 (which is recommended as rescue drive) with the same kext in the same folder, there's no network.
Thank you itwas.
Tried that, but no solution. Either the installer loads, but still no network (10', 10_install) or the installer does not reach the "welcome" screen: (10_recovery, 10.15_recovery).
I believe this is a bug in UniBeast.
Can anybody confirm this? Did I miss something?
I just created a USB boot drive following this guide here just in case i should have to recover my machine from a TimeMachine backup on a network synology drive. The USB installer works perfectly, but there is no network functionality when I reach the installer screen, and I can not access my...
Hm.
What is the change from clover 4297 (which worked flawlessly) to the latest version I upgraded some hours ago?
Can I go back to my old clover version anyhow and would that work for catalina?
Same here, machine crashed during install and rebootet. Tried a second time and it crashed again while the installer was running, but when it came up again, it said new driver is installed. Audio was lost though. After a third restart Audio was there again. Seems to run fine so far now. Scary.
