I don't have a fan patch for that card. It's running on the default curve and I don't know how to change it. :/
I updated to 1105 recently and my RAM timings got all tripped up and I get lockups all the time whether I was running Windows or macOS. I reverted back to 1005 and that got fixed. I...
Hi.
Sorry for the late reply. Here's the EFI folder I'm using for my computer at the moment.
AMD Radeon VII is natively supported by macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and up, no drivers required. As for Sierra, the Radeon VII is not supported and will be problematic to run on older versions.
I would...
Hey, thanks :D I agree this combination of motherboard and CPU is a dream to work on.
The Maxiums XI Hero wasn't my first choice tbh. I wanted a Gigabyte Aorus Master for its better VRM, but it was out of stock. ASUS's board is a very solid motherboard nonetheless. The BIOS has very detailed...
Trying things differently, I manually created an installation USB and used the latest version of Clover to boot. I could get a screen but on boot it got stuck again and gave me a bunch of errors I'd never seen before.
I have a new system with the following specs:
Intel Core i9-9900K
ROG Maximus XI Hero (WiFi) with the latest BIOS version installed
AMD Radeon VII
Intel 760p Series 1.024 TB NVMe SSD + 2x WD Caviar Blue 1 TB HDDs
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16 GB 2x8GB 3200 MHz
I'm running Windows 10 out of the SSD...
I think a fresh installation would've been much easier even through the hassle of moving/redownloading apps and data. Also, the -x boot flag only boots up the essentials so it would ignore Mavericks' TRIMEnabler.
Make sure that your BIOS firmware is up to date, and if that didn't work, try...
Had this problem. I solved it by going to BIOS and disabled VT-d, and booted using the flags:
-v -f GraphicsEnabler=Yes kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x2000
It booted into the installer and installed like a charm.
EDIT: You can re-enable VT-d if you add dart=0 to the kernel flags.
That's a laptop. Laptops are very difficult to make them work with OS X. The guys over at the ML Laptop support forum might help.
Try seeing if your hard disk is formatted as GPT not MBR, or it would usually result in a problematic installation. You can also try changing the USB stick too..
When I installed ML I didn't have to install Graphics kexts at all. It's working perfectly OOB with OpenCL and everything, but all I needed was GraphicsEnabler=No. Maybe EVGA cards work natively but other manufacturers (Slugnet's was Gigabyte) need drivers.
Yes, my motherboard is rev. 1.0
I had the same issue with the 660 Ti. I booted with GraphicsEnabler=No. Mountain Lion has native support for Kepler (6xx) cards so no drivers from MultiBeast are necessary. Just the essentials, Audio and Network are needed. :)
