    seriously?! that would save me a lot of trouble, although I'm still having similar trouble with a very similar build, I've tried different boot flags (-v cpus=1 npci=0x2000) but I'm staring to think its because i can't find and disable the VT-d, where in the BIOS is it?

    Guide: Asus X79 OS X Controlled SpeedStep glad to hear you got it working! but for me its more of a cost thing, my build right now is about $2100 but a similar speced Mac would cost me around $3000 or more!

    do you advise against using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs because they typically need to have their BIOS updated or is there another reason? I was thinking about using the i7 6core 4930K for my build but not sure that it'll work
