Figured it out. My clover install was old and I upgraded it before going through all the hoops. There were some changes in a later version and I had to install another kext. Smooth sailing now!

Updated clover and made sure NvidiaWeb was set to true. Still reverting to macOS drivers.

Every guide I've seen says to disable VT-d, but I use virtualization tools and have always left it on without any (apparent) ill effects. What is disabling this supposed to achieve?

I didn't realize the danger there. Thank you for pointing this out. Here's a question: I used the "generic" NVMe driver to get my Skylake build going, and then (as I posted above) reverted to the KextsToPatch method. In order to implement your patch, it sounds like I need to revert that change...

I can report the config.plist patch worked for me as well. I edited my config.plist, removed the generic kext from the 10.11 folder, and rebooted. I went ahead and rebuilt caches out of an abundance of precaution. NVMExpress now shows my 950 under the "Apple SSD Controller"

I got a Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980 in my machine this week. No problems once the web drivers were installed.

kx driver didn't work for me. If anyone has any news on this I'd greatly appreciate it. The sound quality on this card is wonderful in Windows.

I didn't see an option to disable the onboard video outright. I have it set to initialize PCIE first. When booted from USB/Chimera, it doesn't look like Intel graphics are loaded.

Are you saying the display connection with Clover must be DisplayPort or HDMI? That DVI will not work? I'm using DVI right now and Clover loads on it, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something.
