I'm going to compare your BIOS-settings with mine when i get home. Perhaps we'll find a hint to the issue what keeps freezing your system.

I had some freezes in the meantime. The only thing that really helps me is reducing the memory clock to 1333mhz.

Hey okidokyo, i have the nearly the same config (i have a Palit GTX 770 4GB) and the only thing that helped me was reducing the memory clock to 1333mhz. Please try that. Good luck!

I had a freeze again about 10 min. after i set the RAM-clock to 1600mhz (BIOS default was 1333). After i set it back to 1333, the system ran stable again.

Try reducing the RAM-clock to 1333 instead of 1600mhz in your BIOS. It helped me a lot.

Seems to work now. I installed 10.9.1 with 1 RAM stick and had no freeze. After some tests i installed the other three sticks. I ran the Geekbench 64bit stress test non stop for about 20h. No freeze till now. I really hope it stays that way.

Do you have the 4GB or the 2GB version? I read a lot about freezes with any Gigabyte GA Z87 xxx mainboard and more than 2 RAM Sticks installed. Thats described in this thread...
