Old driver has not been upgraded yet...
Just wanted to say I just upgraded without any issues: install latest Clover and direct update through system preferences :)
My hardware: 8700K+Z390i+RX580
Little tip: Since onboard WiFi is not working, I use an ASUS USB AC53 nano. Official driver has not been updated but you can get it...
Thanks for the guide! I've mounted my new machine following buyers advice and this guide :)
I'm trying to solve now BT+WiFi issue. Found a cheap ASUS AC53 nano and a BT-400 for BT and they both work but without Airdrop, Handoff, unlock with Apple Watch, etc. I found no workaround for the moment...
To answer myself, I did got the AC53 and WiFi is working alongside BT from BT400 adapter. Unfortunately there's no Airdrop, Continuity or HandOff support...
Can anyone confirm that the ASUS USB-AC53 Nano will work on Catalina?
I already have an ASUS BT400 and I want to be sure that continuity and handoff will work painless...
You have config.plist on the first post. I just removed ATI flags and -inject ATI.
Regarding the kexts, most are mostly the same. For MOJAVE you need also compatible AppleALC 1.3.2, LiLu 1.2.7 and IO80211Family kexts so you can have a working audio/wifi. Links are on this site.
Just direct upgraded to Mojave. Everything seems pretty smooth here.
Needed kext for audio working and another one for TPLINK wifi. I'm also testing wake / sleep that never worked well with my GTX670: looks like sometimes work, others do enter on a wake / sleep loop...
I have a perfectly working system with a HPFS+ drive (120GB SSD+500GB /of 1TB/ partition HDD).
I'm wondering if it's now safe to convert this fusion to APFS. Since my fusion is also taking part of an HDD partition, I don't want to mess with it to lose my OS X plus the rest of the HDD.
Can...
Just to say thanks! I've used your config, dropped MATS and used latest BIOS 16j.
Directly updated without problems A minor issue is that I needed to use Toleda's script to recover sound and I'm losing it after sleep (like I did on Sierra).
EDIT: I've a fusion drive setup and I ran the...
It did not work for me (forbidden sign and unable to boot). I think it was a Fusion drive thing.
Had to do a clean install. See https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/apfs-fusion-drive-high-sierra-gm-possible.233811/
First thank you for the guide!! Has helped me a lot while trying to solve some glitches of my previous setup.
BTW, there's something bugging me. I haven't been able to solve audio problems after sleep. I'm using Toleda's script and is working great until system suspends. For my experience looks...
I'm going to answer myself for future users:
1/ solved it first flashing my evga gtx 670 with a UEFI only bios (I asked the manufacturer and they sent it via mail), second I set CSM to off and boot. now wake / sleep works and i can plug / unplug any drive after
2/ reinstalled and used this time...
Followed the guide being more tricky than expected
Not that it was difficult to follow but I couldn't be able to boot the USB once created (black screen with blinking slash again and again). I was finally able to install using a UniBeast disk and finally back to the road with Clover...
