I had this problem and the solution might be the same. What I suspect is that your display is connected to your video card instead of your motherboard. Reboot your computer and enter the bios settings. Configure it so that the default is to output from the motherboard or on-board graphics...
Hey all,
I completed my first custom build a few years back when Mavericks was released. I had upgraded my hardware to Yosemite and eventually El Capitan. A little fed up of catering to the ridiculous need of a hackintosh, I decided to stop updating there. I began using my desktop for work and...
In System Preferences/Sound/Output, I see only airplay devices, none of the onboard sound outputs from my case. Im I in the right forum or should I go to the No Sound one?
Here's what I do.
1. Using the default themes available, I open Clover Config, select the Themes menu on the left hand column.
2. Load themes/partitions button on bottom right
3. Select a theme from the list
4. click download/update
5. save
I suppose there's a step I'm missing
Thanks for the help. I did it and it appeared to work. When I relaunched Clover Configurator it appeared to find the config.plist file without issue. However, if I reboot my computer and open Clover Configurator again, it will give me the same message. Is this expected?
I even try to change my...
So I just did a clean install of El Capitan following the OS X 10.11 installation guide. And so far, thing's are looking good.
Whenever I open up the Clover Configurator now, it says "config.plist not found!" despite having done the setup according to the guide. Is there a particular place I'm...
That's what I initially thought, but wouldn't that mostly affect the boot-up until the boot loader? At that point it's chosen a drive to boot from and the rest should be visible. Video is only available at the user selections screen, so not only is the BIOS info not visible, but neither is the...
Hey guys,
So I've been having an interesting issue lately...I have a gigabyte motherboard and normally when I turn on my computer, it shows the really ugly gigabyte logo with the opportunity to manipulate the bios settings and whatnot.
Recently, I haven't been able to do that. If I power the...
Turns out they were unrelated but for different issues. App Store was launching but none of my app updates were completing. This is something related to the destination I save my apps to. But thanks for sharing, I'm sure that was an issue for many people.
I've got a UD5H and haven't had any issues. Booting into my user, I was prompted with a message saying the default video driver was used and I update the NVIDIA driver and no issues found except something odd going on with the App Store for me. It's not allowing me to update apps but I am yet to...
Article: UniBeast: Install OS X Yosemite on Any Supported Intel-based PC
Fixed the issue. The problem lied in the fact that I didn't download Yosemite from that same computer. The "Install OS X Yosemite" app must be in the Applications folder as it would normally. I downloaded directly from the...
As for safe mode, oddly enough it's not allowing me to enter the boot flags manually at the boot loader. I'm able to press arrow-down on the keyboard to display certain options, but when I type -x on the keyboard, there's nothing on-screen that indicates it's receiving input. If I type it in...
Verbose appears to end at an NTFS-fs warning and a bluetooth controller transport.
Ive uploaded a photo of the screen, the top is blurry but the bottom shows the latest info:

Hey guys,
been running 10.9.4 for a while now on my hackintosh without any issues (never got around to updating to 10.9.5). Recently tried booting up my unit but it stayed at the Apple logo and spinning circle on the grey screen without successfully loading OS X. Since then, here's what I've...
Hey there,
I have a very similar build as you (same motherboard, processor and similar GFX). Unfortunately I'm having the same exact issue. I see your post was a long time ago but have you resolved the issue since? If so, do you recall how?
Thank you, those were the exact tools I was looking for. I would much prefer using retail versions of software and not pirated versions for the sake of supporting developers and keeping problems to a minimum.
I currently run 10.9 on an actual Mac but am attempting my first build. How can I get Mountain Lion from here? It seems the only way is through the Mac App Store and currently 10.8 is not "available for download" when I try to review my past purchases.
Note: The reason I'm deciding to go with...
I have a very similar setup that I'm planning on building (just waiting for the i7-4770K to ship). My main concern is my EVGA 780 (w/ACX) which the forums indicate has difficulty with 10.9 and OpenCL. You don't seem to have any issues with yours, but we don't exactly have the same card. I'm...
