[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

This is still Nvidia's only statement on the matter and it alludes to the fact that Apple wasn't allowing them to release signed drivers for Mojave.

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

I don't think anyone knows the full story behind the Nvidia / Apple breakup. Nvidia had updated drivers ready to go and Apple wouldn't allow them to be signed for installation. With Nvidia constantly proving they are just a shady corporation, I wouldn't doubt if there was more to the story.

    X299 Big Sur Support

Just saw this: Yes, I have 256GB of Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz running fine on a Prime Deluxe II and a 10980xe.

<< Solved >> USB Audio Interface Artifacts and Dropouts

I started having audio dropouts and static on my USB Alesis Multimix after upgrading from 11 to 11.1. I've had this mixer since 10.13 and it's always just worked, so this was a new behavior. It seemed to be tied to the GPU usage (Radeon VIIs) and coreaudiod would crash after a few minutes...

    X299 Big Sur Support

Dual Radeon VII's here, found this because I'm having the same issue. Since the 11.1 update, I am getting drop outs and crackling through my USB Alesis Multimix 8. Definitely most pronounced with YouTube videos when moving other browser/finder windows around but it's occurring when playing...

[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

I'm in the same boat. I have a pair of 6900XT's sitting here waiting to replace a pair of Radeon VII's. I guess it gives EK more time to get their new water blocks shipping though :)

    macOS 11.1 Update

Took me longer to update OC from 0.6.3 to 0.6.4 than it did to update to 11.1. No issues on my X299 system.

    X299 Big Sur Support

So one more question. I just tried to update to Bios 3105 from 0802 and the machine now just shuts down after it hits the Apple logo after the OpenCore menu. Was there something that changed drastically in the Bios? I know that the one after 0802 had issues with the MSR lock, but didn't see...

    X299 Big Sur Support

This is great, thank you! I managed to get it installed before I saw you posted this, but I'm running into the same issue I had in Catalina, which is my Broadcom Wifi/Bluetooth card is in PCIex1_1 which is shared with the USB 3.1 bus. I have the front header disabled in the BIOS, which allows...

    X299 Big Sur Support

Trying to do a fresh reinstall onto a new NVME with Big Sur using OC 0.6.3 on my Asus Prime Deluxe II and keep getting hung up on "Device is write locked". No other errors in the logs, but it's just been sitting there for 30 min or so. I looked around, but could only find one other instance...

    macOS 10.15.6 Update

Successful update on my 10980xe / x299 system with one noticeable difference. I run an external TB3 10Gb network adapter based on the Aquintia AQC107 chipset and on 10.15.5 and earlier, it showed up as "Thunderbolt 3 10GBit Ethernet", Now it just shows as Ethernet 3 and the system seems to...

    Best MB for i9-10980xe?

I have a 10980xe running on the ASUS Prime Deluxe II board. Everything works, just don't update the BIOS past 0802. X299 refresh boards like the Gigabyte X299X boards do no work without modifying the BIOS.

    macOS 10.15.5 Update

Updated to Clover 5118 from 5117. Lilu to 1.4.4 and 2 reboots later the beast was back up on 10.15.5. Easy update. Edit: Just re-ran Geekbench 5 to see if anything changed and while the CPU is within it's averages, the Radeon VII seems to have gotten a little boost in both Metal and OpenCL...

    Asus X299 - Support

I am basically running the same as @dez from his repo with the exception of the Radeon VII which you don't need to do anything for. He has the file for the 5700 XT in this folder, just remove it. https://github.com/dezinezync/X299-EFI-Folder-Distributions Everything works, including TB3.

    Asus X299 - Support

I'm running a 10980xe on a Prime Deluxe II with an updated bios for Cascade Lake X with no issues. The revised 48 pcie lane X299 and X299X boards are the one's that are super finicky.

ASUS X-299 Deluxe II - Thunderbolt Solution?

Thats twice the Flashback utility has saved me. Once when I bought the board and it wasn't loaded with 0802 to support my 10980xe and now this. I think I am good with messing with the bios on this board for a while :)

ASUS X-299 Deluxe II - Thunderbolt Solution?

It was on, but I tried every setting that you normally need to mess with in the new bios (CSM, MSR, etc) and it never booted past the memfix +++++++ As soon as I did a flashback to 0802 and reset the bios settings it booted right up.

ASUS X-299 Deluxe II - Thunderbolt Solution?

UPDATE: I reverted back to BIOS 0802 via the ASUS Flashback button (Trying to downgrade from the BIOS threw an error) and Mac OS is booting again. DO NOT UPDATE TO BIOS 3306! It appears they did something with the memory mapping on the Prime Deluxe II

ASUS X-299 Deluxe II - Thunderbolt Solution?

@dez Wondering if you have tried the new BIOS for this board (version 3306). I updated and it completely made my system unbootable (Stuck at ++++++++++++++++) Any chance you could post your BIOS settings to make sure I am not missing something?
