Z690 Chipset Motherboards and Alder Lake CPU

Yes that's a super bummer to hear. It's been years since Hackintoshes have been around, yet these manufactures still don't notice us. I don't get it. I guess i will be sending this board back. I really wanted an ITX build but guess will have to just go fugly big. BTW if anyone has any...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

If it did have a kext first follow these steps. 1. Delete low latency kext. 2. Delete audio preferences plist settings. 3. DL and Run class compliant fix script from focusrite found here. Other reminder is to make sure the playback/input knob is on playback and not input. If youre using...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

yes its working! So first did you have it working before the update using non class compliant mode? or was it working as just plug in play class compliant? reason is you must do a few steps to revert back if you have previously installed any kexts.

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

well idk. im clearly not an expert in all these things, but yes if I were you i would. I think High Sierra works well with class compliant devices. Plus if you use logic they are utilizing APFS file system in their new update. The downside of APFS is you cannot go back to HFS. In other words...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

Ok well from what I have gathered is everything changed as far as Focusrite is concerned on High Sierra. So to get your focusrite working you probably do need to use the low latency kext and here's why. It defaults to class compliant mode. So running that script isnt doing anything for you...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

Ok I dont know how much of help I can be but lets make sure we're on same page. 1. Just to make sure the focusrite Solo(1st or 2nd gen?) was working on El cap/sierra and after updating to High Sierra it doesnt work now, right? 2. Did you ever install the low latency driver kext from focusrite...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

Well if you've installed the low latency kext you need to delete it first, i do know that. I forget the name of it but probably something like lowlatencyfocusrite.kext located i think in HD/system/library/extensions. But for anything else I suggest use at you're own discretion. Other things to...

DAW Studio Build with Thunderbolt 3 or class compliant audio working at least

Thanks for this man! With the current prices of these chips it seems like a no brainer. The Apollo Twin is a good price point for all you get as well and honestly has been what ive been contemplating getting. I'm glad all of this gear is working because it's most likely my next build. Ive...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

Ok sorry but just wanted to update this because i did find a solution. It was a script from focusrite to take the usb kext for the device back to class compliant after you deleted the kext.

DAW Studio Build with Thunderbolt 3 or class compliant audio working at least

Recently upgraded to High Sierra and having major problems with it from a GA 7 series mobo, 4790k. Thinking about just starting from scratch with newer beefier parts since I outgrew the hardware anyhow. I do NOT game and I do loves more cores but 18 cores and such are out of my price range...

HDMI audio works but USB Interface audio does not!

Hey guys, I recently upgraded from El Capitan to HS 10.13.3. I still have a few things I'm trying to fix especially and Audio Issue. Garageband not working - Core Audio Issue

Anyone found a fix for this yet? Similar issue here. running 10.11.5 El capitan w/ latest release of garageband. Tried re-installing and deleting preferences. I have tried using m-audio fast track pro which used to work with these same settings. Bought a new focusrite scarlett 2i4 second gen...

    [FIX] HD4200/HD4400/HD4600/HD5600 on 10.11+

Thats great news! So I thought i followed all the directions in this thread but I must have done something wrong because I'm stuck at bootloader and wont even boot in safe mode. Interestingly enough after I installed the kexts via DCPI Manager; FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_HD4600_HD4400.kext in...

    [FIX] HD4200/HD4400/HD4600/HD5600 on 10.11+

Hi Rehabman, Thanks for your work towards support for hd4400. I was wondering if you know if full qe/ci graphics work for the desktop hd4400 or is this only for mobile hd4400? The only post I saw was from awhile back in January regarding an answer from Toleda here. I've seen mixed reviews...

Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

Thank you!!! you were correct. I was trying to save with extension format .aml which was causing the issue. I looked in both folder however and did not see a native dsdt located in any of the usual folders that it would be located in ex.EFI/Clover/ACPI/Patched/....or Yosemite/Extra..... But...

Audio - HDMI Audio AppleHDA [Guide]

Thank you very much Toleda for quick reply. I'm not sure I understand how to do this. The edited dsdt cannot be saved because of the error. There exists no native dsdt because this was a dsdt free build with Multibeast that was converted to the Clover bootloader... what am I missing here? Thank...
