Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Ok, I used the settings you posted on your blog. A couple things... - I had to set the ram voltage to 1.4v, 1.3 would cause a boot error - I set the QPI to x32 So I'm running at a measly 2.88Ghz right now, with ram at 1600MHz. Everything seems to be stable, nothing's crashed yet. All apps...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

The 212 has a backplate as well, so that sucks I didn't know about the Mugen-2. :( Not all apps were freezing, that's the strange part. I have a bunch of apps in my dock, Photoshop, Illustrator, iTunes, Toast Titanium, Garageband, iMovie, iPhoto all froze, but I could launch the other apps...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Installed that heatsink (was a bitch to install). Fan is just as noisy. Tried overlocking, the majority of my apps would freeze. The fan for the video card is super loud as well. What a piece of s***. I'm not liking anything about this rig. Feel like selling it and going back to Apple.

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Well, it's F8 but I'm not sure if it's Rev 2... I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in the BIOS. Would it be on the box somewhere? The front audio panel was working previously, but there was a lot of static or hdd interference noise. Thanks for the link! I had this one in my cart...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Sound on the front isn't working... am I missing an extension? I only have the rollback and the legacy ones installed. Since sleep is working manually, I'm going to leave it as is. I don't need auto-sleep atm. The CPU fan has an annoying oscillating high pitched frequency that drives me nuts...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Not sure, mine sleeps and wakes up ok now.. I have to do it manually, but I don't mind that at all. Maybe try shinew's custom DSDT? That's what I'm using. This is what I did to get mine up and running properly (except audio, front ports don't work, not sure if 5.1 works because I don't have a...

It scored 7485 using the 64bit version. I wish I'd have read about the dvd drive affecting sleep, I would have ordered a different one. :(

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Holy crap was that ever annoying.... Ok, after a dozen reboots, I finally got at least few things fixed that I can confirm: - Can boot from HDD now - Audio port(s) in the back panel work (well, speaker out at least works) - no static noise - Identifier is now MacPro 4,1 So now in Extra...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

Ok, I'm going to try that in just a min, but do I need to delete everything first and start from scratch (in the Extra folder, etc), or can I just select those in MultiBeast and install on-top/replace?

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

No, I'm not using DSDT because the instructions made it sound like I didn't need to if I was using Easybeast. I'm assuming I have to reboot and go into the BIOS to check what version I'm running? This is what I have in those two folders: Extra - com.apple.Boot.plist - Extensions.mkext -...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

I followed the same guide basically everyone else here has as well, this one: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ ... -x-on.html I started with Easybeast, graphics worked after that, but still had the other issues. I went through and selected additional kexts from Multibeast, basically...

Tons of problems, can't figure out any of them (GA-P55-USB3)

I've got 10.6.5 installed. It's running on a GA-P55-USB3 mobo, Gigabyte ATI 5770, 4GB ram, Asus USB bluetooth adapter, DWA-125 USB wireless adapter, etc. So far, these are the issues I'm encountering: - Can't boot from HDD, only iBoot - Can't sleep, shutdown sometimes locks up as well - Audio...

    Can't boot without iBoot

Apologies, I meant to do this last night but forgot. I'd already spent hours on this installation and was pretty tired when I posted this. I'll update my sig with my full rig specs. In the meantime, here's what I'm running: i5 760 Gigabyte P55-USB3 4GB G.Skill 1TB WD Black SATA2 Gigabyte ATI...

    Can't boot without iBoot

I used EasyBeast, rebooted, wouldn't boot from the hard drive. Ran Multibeast again and selected from the advanced options the Chameleon rc4, rebooted, still wouldn't boot from the hard drive. So right now I can only boot with iBoot in the drive. What can I do to fix this?

[SOLVED] USB flash and hard drives not recognized

Re: USB flash and hard drives not recognized Figured it out. Time Machine back up screwed things up. Reinstalled from scratch and skipped restoring from Time Machine. Crappy that I have to reinstall every app, but oh well.. whatever.

[SOLVED] USB flash and hard drives not recognized

I just finished installing Snow Leopard, but I'm at the step where I need to install the combo update along with Multibeast, however they're located on either a flash drive (FAT32), or my Time Machine back up (HTFS), neither of which are being recognized. I don't understand, since I was able to...
