I' ve been a member of this forum for a long time.
I' ve had hackintoshes working perfectly. My last one was i7 8700k with gigabyte z390 gaming x.
Now I have a working i5 8400 - gigabyte z370 ultra gaming with everything working.
I decided to jump to the amd train and bought a Ryzen 5800x along...
Well it seems I was doing something wrong. Succeeded after it booted 2 times (preboot and FileVault). Now everything ok. Installed .106 nVidia driver as the new one was laggy again. I think the problem is with Pascal cards.
Same here hangs at boot with no reason. Updated to clover 4441, removed voodoohda, tried standalone and App Store, same thing. I am always able to boot back to 17D47.
Same problem here, on Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H (alc 898).
I tried DSDT and Enabler1.kext, patched appleHDA.kext according to toleda's instructions, but no way I can get it to load.
seems like 10.8.5 doesn't like the new applehda.kext.
Installed Combo Update, failed but after reboot I have 10.8.5, Installed audio via multibeast failed, reboot audio ok, installed usb3 via multibeast ok and after reboot usb ok.
The problem is I can't log in the app store any more....
Well I installed it and it shows up in system profiler. But when I attach a usb3 hd it shows up as high-speed 480mbit. I don't know why this is happening. My mobo is X58A-UD3R rev1.
Maybe something in dsdt messes this ?
Re: 980x works with iBoot, How? and how to fix CMOSreset nonDSDT
same with me. I have it all running well, but no cpu recognition. I guess we need some other code for 6core processors.
Also it seems that trim function for ssd is coming as my macbook identified my intel ssd as solid state but did not have trim on. We will see.
My hackintosh identifies my ocz ssd as rotational, so I will have to figure out how to make Snow identify it as ssd, and how to enable trim....
Look at...
I am not in P55 anymore but my i980x is now finally supported with vanilla kernel. These are very good news for me. So we are expecting the new mac pros.
I am very happy for my system.
Tony I would really need your help here.
Tried different methods and always after install I have the same problem.
The system shutdowns itself at boot.
I tried busratio=25 and cpus=1 at boot but no difference
Thank you and sorry for quoting myself
