Have a look at this:

"What we know about 10.7.5 so far...

Updated AMD, Intel, and NVIDIA graphics drivers

x8 PCIe Lane Width:
The first x16 PCIe slot on z77 boards (and others) gets 16 lanes if it is used alone. If both x16 ports are used the lanes will be shared by x8 and x8. No matter if this second card is a graphics card or whatever.
Its important to know that not all physically x16 ports...
Here are my results all at default speed and identical benchmark settings..
Maybe a good chance to see the difference between a GTX680 and factory overclocked GTX670.
I did the following in a terminal session:
1) "sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0" (suspend to RAM only)
2) "sudo rm /private/var/vm/sleepimage" (delete sleepimage)
3) "sudo tmutil disablelocal" (disables temporary local TimeMachine Backups)
You can get your actual hibernatemode by typing

Did you use a SSDT after upgrading to 10.7.4? It feels like your cpu multipler is stuck at 16.
Test it here:

Multibeast 4.5.2 includes working SSDTs.
These MacMan Test DSDT's solved my "no USB after sleep" problem:

Are you sure that a Hackintosh is the right thing for you? Please do not misunderstand me, but... never mind, i will answer your questions:
1) no
2) It's part of Multibeast (See picture in the guide)
