OpenCore ASUS Maximus VII Hero Z97 4790K RX580

I got this to work for an ASUS Z97M-PLUS. No USB Flashback on this board, the patched BIOS had to be updated the hard way. Finding a way to flash the modded BIOS was a drag. I ended up flashing it from within a running Windows 10. For those who wondered (I did :)): using an old and ancient BIOS...

Clean install of macOS Mojave -- can I install from a working HS setup to a blank SSD?

You can create the USB stick from your High Sierra system. For me, the createinstallmedia method worked fine: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/how-to-create-a-macos-mojave-public-beta-installation-usb.254626/. Unibeast 9.0.0 works as well, but doesn't recognise the GT 640 Kepler card that I...

    GT 640 Graphics Issues

The 3GB GPU memory indicates that you have a GF116 chip on your card. This is Fermi (GF), not Kepler (GK) and thus most likely not supported by Mojave. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nvidia_graphics_processing_units#GeForce_600_series

    Buying advice, WiFi adapter

It works for me also, but in order to connect to the access point the configuration tool has to be opened and visible on the desktop. When it starts up iconized it doesn't automatically connect. It's a non-expensive way of connecting a system to Wifi, but you need to click the configuration...

    Buying advice, WiFi adapter

I think I removed all software and put it back on again, and now it works. If I would do it again for a Hackintosh desktop system, I would either take the original Apple Wifi card (difficult to get, needs building) or use a powerline ethernet adapter (no configuration needed). The configuration...

    Buying advice, WiFi adapter

When I reboot, the interface remains in "Cable Unplugged" mode and does not automatically reconnect to the wifi network. I need to use the Wireless Network Utility again and manually connect the Belkin N300 to get it to work after each reboot. Anyone seen this before and got a solution to that...

    WIFI Adapters OSX Lion

The Belkin N300 is easy to install with the package. I got it working now on Lion, using the "Wireless Network Utility" to connect to my Airport Express base station. But when I reboot the system the interface remains in "Cable Unplugged" mode and does not automatically reconnect to the wifi...

    Wireless success!

    Wireless Network Adapter

It works with its own network utility, called "Wireless Network Utility". When you download the 10.6 package from the RealTek site and install that, the utility is in your Applications. I just got the Belkin N300 F7D2101deSH delivered. Installed the 10.6 package from RealTek on my 10.7.1...
