I think I had de DSDT alone, I don't really remember. I gave up on this system because brightness didn't work and battery duration was to short. I finally migrated almost all my workflow (video editing/color correcting/davinci resolve) to Windows by now, because all my systems have nvidia cards...
I fixed booting in single user and safe mode, exiting command line, downloading new Lilu, whatevergreen and AppleALC, copying to /L/E, installing new nividia drivers, rebuilding cache and rebooting.
hope you could help me again
I finally got the laptop battery working with the dsdt edits made by @mail in his post
Everything seems to work OK by now, even though I still see a lot of ACPI errors or warnings while booting (they scroll very fast).
I already switched the wifi card...
Finally I used the DSDT you posted, the one called DSDTv3debugnoinit.aml
That was the only one that worked for me. After the first time, patching my own DSDT breaks my system, it does not boot.
Now I have no battery problems, sleep/wake/shutdown/restart works well, native power management...
I have the same laptop, but with nvidia 1070 graphics
I tried your battery fix, but the battery status is fixed at it's initial value and I keep getting the battery error when restarting.
Did the patching work well for you?
Finally I understood that theres no need to patch all warnings, just errors and that I could save the dsdt even when there where lots of warnings.
I succesfully patched my DSDT to get battery status, working sleep/wake, no shutdown errors.
I still have some problems:
-There's a strange lag in...
I managed to install High Sierra 10.13.6 on my new laptop, an Omen by HP 15-dc0045nr
Processor: 6-core i7 8750H
Memory: 32GB 2667 MHz DDR4
Graphics: nVidia 1070 Max Q
Display: 1920x1080 @ 144hz
Storage: Samsung NVME 512GB (Windows) / Kingston SSD 480GB (Clover)
Last step (200 Series Audio Controller patch) only works if I patch <3d70a1> with <3df0a2> instead of just <70a1> with <f0a2>
Thanks for the great guide, now everything is working (New Build, MSI Z270 Tomahawk)
I'm trying to make this work on Sierra 10.12.5 with Intel 530 and nVidia GTX 1060
When IGPU set as primary and HDMI plugged in iGPU, the screen stays at boot logo but the system boots (I can check with Screen Sharing)
If the screen is plugged into eGPU it works OK.
I have read almost every post...
Yep, you're right about AppStore Resolve Studio, but the same happens with the free app from BlackMagicDesign (12.5.6 and 14beta).
Also I have a bunch of problems with multiple displays (not always works), sound on HDMI port only works when another display is plugged in the DisplayPort and the...
I have a similar problem with DaVinci Resolve (and today it happened with Premiere CC2017). The app hangs, crashes and closes. Sometimes the crash logs me out of my user account. This happens specially when using apps that rely hard on the graphics card (DaVinci with Noise reduction or Premiere...
Im having the same problem with DaVinci Resolve (appstore version). When I try to do some Noise Reduction the computer freezes, then Resolve crashes without any message. Sometimes it even logs me out of my user account. I can re-open DaVinci and continue working till it crashes again. I still...
I had the same error but when booting to Windows 7 via Legacy Clover. I disabled Turbo (for the processor) on the BIOS and now I can boot to Windows with no errors. If I enable Turbo again, the same error occurs.
I have no problem booting to Sierra with Turbo enabled
Updated Clover and updated through AppStore
Now I can't boot with my software RAID drives plugged in, computer restarts when loading Clover.
Everything works if the RAID drives are unplugged. Tried disabling Clover Scan for entries and adding manual entries, but it does not work. I can plug the...
