    Success. Easiest ever. Set update from Sys Prefs, and walked away. Half hour later, it was just finishing. So I can't tell you how many restarts occurred, but it was all automatic. Clover 5133 with all current kexts. Thank you community!

    That is normal for Big Sur. The Preboot partition is always used for the normal boot. There is a separate Install Prebooter during the installation though. Not the same one.

    Updated from 11.2 to 11.2.1 Clover 5129, and all most recent kexts. Download, 15 minutes writing prebooter. Three restarts, with a final 10 minute update phase. All good!

    Updated smoothly. Clover 5129, plus all current kexts. Did not have to play with intel graphics, as have in the past. Booted automatically into installer pre-booter, and hid extra partitions correctly. Three reboots over about 20 minutes, and good to go. Thanks!

    Thanks Jay for your video. It is rare to see a face! I did not have your particular pain, but I am nervous not having Super Duper functioning. I too am relying on Time Machine, and have two bootable Catalina drives stored away for an emergency.
