If your USB port have 5Gb/s (GigaBIT/s) that it can read max 625 (megabyte/s) but this is theoretical with the USB overhead 450-500 is OK. BUT that mean that your USB port runs as USB 3.0 not 3.1 (10 Gigabit/s)
I need a optical DVD on my new Mojave Hackintosh.
Would you recommend a internal SATA or a external USB drive?
I have the feeling reading posts that maybe a USB drive is the more painless option, but I would like to hear what you can recommend.
