HP ProBook Installer 6.1 (beta): Ivy bridge support
I remember early/late model being dependant on the serial number. Perhaps random generator is destroying that relation. It should be easy to test tough, using known working serials.
Yes, 4530S guide is still relevant. The hardest part is removing top cover, laying down the cable and making sure nothing is pinched.
I've got B156HW01 .V4 matte but some prefer .V7 which is glossy.
Will this perl patch from 10.8.2/3 work for AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB?
if not please post the binary and will modify the script in linux.
Waiting for kpkp and status of his script for 10.8.4...
We need two AppleHDA kexts:
4530S codec 0x111D76D1 287143633(decimal)
4540S codec 0x111D76D9 287143641(decimal)
It needs to be patched in four places:
I guess any that supports 25 64M-bit SPI chips from Winbond 25Q64
EZP2010 being one of them
It would be nice to have a full backup.
Just finished a fresh install on new 4540s and have a couple questions...
When you first boot the laptop press F1 to display System Information, look at the bottom for line called WLAN FCC ID
open the back cover and physically look at the mini PCIe card.
Google the numbers.
Perhaps manually patching the kext will be less time consuming in this case rather than new DSDT?
I'm pretty sure I tried everything on 4540S with SandyBridge CPU including safe mode attemps and tricks to load it...
It was frustrating experience for me as well when I put Sandy Bridge CPU on my 4540S. It never loaded the graphics. I had to put the Ivy CPU back and create DSDT with IMEI patch.
Sorry don't remember more details.
