    [Guide][New VoodooI2C] Asus Vivobook S15 X510UAR 10.13+

@bugsb The customer service is demanding 300000 to repair and 500000 to replace the motherboard. I paid 580000 to buy the laptop when it came out. It should be a fair and easy fix to close up on the motherboard components and switch out capacitors and stuff, but I have no more knowledge than...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

@CaseySJ I didn't know that it was Matias Keyboard recognized as USB hub. There's nothing to be done about it. In the meanwhile, I limited port count on PO10 builtin hub and assigned names and merely copied the k-current-values from XHC2. Since USB did improve on Big Sur Beta 6, then what I did...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Then I believe iPhone's charging very slowly and iPad won't charge with that port. I'll make USBPorts.kext if you don't mind :) Can you please upload the export on the USB tab of Hackintool? I'm no hardware person, but one thing that comes to mind is the current may be limited if a device is...

    Gigabyte B550 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X + AMD RX 5600 XT

Can you please check if it still shows enough current when iPhone is on the same level as Optical USB Mouse and Matias Backlit Keyboard? Like under USB2.0 Hub under USB2.0 Hub?

    Ongoing Progress - Big Sur on Gigabyte B550 Vision D - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Thunderbolt 3

I think the 4 USB ports should be attached to PO14. I don't see PO14 on Hackintool, so please check in the SSDT if PO14 is enabled. Also, 1. USBInjectAll does not support AMD systems. 2. I helped headkaze add support for EHCxInternalIntelHub-PortsAttachedHub by providing him debug logs on...

    Ongoing Progress - Big Sur on Gigabyte B550 Vision D - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - Thunderbolt 3

I know you have fixed sleep by disabling the 2.0 hub, but what if you go back and make AppleUSB20InternalHub attach instead of AppleUSB20Hub? I'm saying the default driver may be incompatible and causing sleep/wake issues and you may need to choose the correct driver for working 2.0 hub and...

What if you actually make a call? I remember having this issue on Catalina myself and one other person. If I start the app it shows a black screen, but when I call someone, or my phone and the call gets picked up, I see what's on the camera. I didn't bother to test FaceTime again after that.

Actually more people are complaining with OpenCore for various features not ported from Clover which the Acidanthera team gives good reasons for, found in the bugtracker and Configuration.pdf. Anyways, it's just 5120 Clover that is bugged and that's what I meant to say in the previous post XD...

Yes, OC boots fine. It's Clover that many people are experiencing issues with, not just on Vivobooks but on many other computers. I haven't seen people report failure to boot normal installer or system with latest OC on the Acidanthera bugtracker.

Hey, @bugsb I hope you are doing well. I have switched to OpenCore since the release archive of my repo(fork of saintno1997's repo) and have not tested Clover since then. I don't think I'll go back to using Clover. :/ Great job on the workaround to boot failures with the recent Clover upgrade...

    Pentium/Celeron Open Core desktop Guide

@Gigamaxx Right, the DummyPowerManagement quirk is a replacement for NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. This legacy kext for Clover is also not needed in that bootloader either for Pentiums/Celerons. The only time they are needed is to boot with the incompatible (or Plugin-Type=1 not injected) OEM...

    Pentium/Celeron Open Core desktop Guide

@Gigamaxx Thanks for the guide. Looking inside the EFI folder you uploaded, you have enabled DummyPowerManagement and there is no SSDT-PLUG.aml, but chowhar has added the SSDT in his config.plist. As far as I know, the DummyPowerManagement quirk is only needed on AMD CPU hacks. For Intel, you...

An iDiot's Guide To Lilu and its Plug-ins

https://github.com/acidanthera/VirtualSMC/blob/master/Docs/FAQ.md VirtualSMC.efi is needed only if you want to enable FileVault 2 with unsupported bootloaders like Clover, the supported being OpenCore with certain configuration since January. BTW, thanks for the guide!

The New Beginner's Guide to USB Port Configuration

@headkaze desktops don't normally need embedded control device which is why the SSDT provided in OC docs has disable code for it. For laptops, please refer to https://github.com/acidanthera/bugtracker/issues/743 There, Andrey1970AppleLife says to rename embedded control device name to EC. (This...

    [Guide][New VoodooI2C] Asus Vivobook S15 X510UAR 10.13+

@bugsb if you have problems with the bluetooth, you should have USBPorts.kext installed. Mine wakes up with no issues. And it's very true having a correctly configured USB kext does no harm. I deleted it from my "other" folder because I don't think I'll go back to Mojave, or even 10.15.1. On...

USB configuration is not needed for BT controller to wake from sleep in 10.15.2 which means no USBPorts.kext or USBInjectAll.kext/SSDT-UIAC.aml. I can't say for 10.15 or 10.15.1 because I didn't test it.
