Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Otherwise, for anyone else who MAY end up experiencing this issue, I shortly thereafter discovered that I was able to see the HDD when opening up Disk Util via my OS X High Sierra Install USB. So I used that to mount the HDD, and it connected just fine.

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Not sure exactly what it is you're trying to accomplish, but give these a try. I actually surfaced these just last night, so I could use Terminal to mount EFI and boot into Recovery Mode, to fix a corrupted disk. Worked like a charm.

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Nah, seeing my MacOS Boot in Clover isn't the problem. It's after I boot it.. See... First Route: (Trying the new MacOS Install that just showed up as my primary) 1. 2. Second Route: (Trying my usual Boot MacOS from OSX (My SSD Boot Drive)) 1. 2. And upon using my Troubleshooting...

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Big sigh. So I'm still on High Sierra 10.13.6, but my computer just followed through with a "Security Update," yesterday. Was cautious, but let it go through. I know, my bad. After the update, I reset my computer twice and everything was fine, both times. No concerns. So I continued using my...

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

I would say just be aware of the HSF+ to APFS file-system conversion, especially if you're using an HDD over an SSD for your OS boot-drive. ______ Otherwise, update from my previous post. I tried to implement the HSF+ retention process upon my update from Sierra to High Sierra, but for some...

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Oh, so because my boot drive is an SSD and I just use an HDD for my files, I should be okay?

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

I have an SSD for my Operating System, but an HDD for everything in "Accounts". Should I follow through with this update? I have procrastinated updating from Sierra to High Sierra because I initially wanted to skip the update and go directly to Mojave, but shortly after discovered that my...

Mojave Installation questions - Update only recognizing SSDs, not IHD or EHD

Yeah, Time Machine was being difficult with me while logged into the desktop, but after completely re-wiping my OS SSD from Safe-Mode Disc Utility and going through the process in Recovery-Mode off my Boot USB, everything was just fine. Computer's all back to normal now, just to how it was...

Mojave Installation questions - Update only recognizing SSDs, not IHD or EHD

Yeah, you got me, I didn't act soon enough. My External is showing after plugging it into a USB2.0. Wasn't working on 3.0. Silly mistake. Sad as it may be with all the effort I put into getting Mojave working, guess I'm gonna try and go back to Sierra, then. At least I now have a nice USB all...

Mojave Installation questions - Update only recognizing SSDs, not IHD or EHD

You have enlightened me, Adrian. Thank you. When you suggested plugging my HDD into the SATA that my Photo SSD was connected to, it occurred to me that Mojave may not initially be suited to recognize more than one additional Drive. I just outright unplugged my Photo SSD (It's honestly not that...

Mojave Installation questions - Update only recognizing SSDs, not IHD or EHD

Yup. So I managed to get past that screen, finished the install, obviously I have no graphics card now, but I can live without that for now. What I can't live without is the fact that for some reason the updated system is recognizing my SSD's, but not my Hardrives. I have two SSD's in my...

Mojave Installation questions - Update only recognizing SSDs, not IHD or EHD

Heyyo. [Edit] New issue. I got everything installed alright, but it's not recognizing my Internal HD (Housing Accounts) or External HD (Housing Time Machine Backups). It's only recognizing my Internal SSD (housing my OS) and an extra SSD (Housing my RAW Photography). Stuck without access to my...

[WARNING] Clover update r4586 deletes OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi

How old was your last version of Clover? Do you remember when you first installed your last update? My files had the "-64" bit in them, but it was also still the same version I installed one year ago, about May 2017-ish. Perhaps yours doesn't have the "-64" bit because your last model was an...

After I updated to Clover 4586 and could no longer boot up my computer, I was in a panic.
