I installed 10.13.2 yesterday and for the first time since I had a hackintosh I experienced this problem. Basically my computer stops for a few seconds and then starts again.
FixShutdown didn't work for me. I disabled wake on lan function and now shutdown works for me.
Thank you for the guide.
My problem was related to Fake SMC. I accidentally copied the zip file instead of kext (dumb me).
I've got it working now and I'm very happy with the results.
I've also managed to get TRIM working and use the XMP profile that I need.
How can you tell if the...
I have this motherboard too and I got some problems.
So here are my parts:
Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5
Core i7 4790
Kingston HyperX Predator 2x4 GB 1866 XMP
ASUS GeForce GTX760 DC2 OC 2GB
Intel 520 120 GB SSD
I've created the USB install media as in this guide but using clover r3142...
Did you manage to do something?
I have the same MB and I used it without considering the DSDT.
After a while I used the DSDT for 1504 (I also have 1601) and it looks like everything is OK.
What can I say? As far as I can see for me is no difference.
I tried both Mac Pro 6.1 and iMac 14.2 and no performance improvements for me.
BTW I used geekbench. What do you use for benchmarking?
I'm also curious if multibeast change anything else then smbios.plst.
I just used multibeast to change the system definition and it looks like works fine. I...
Ok sorry for confusing you. My HDDs turn off when computer sleeps.
They never turn off when the computer is on. I've checked that checkbox that says turn off HDD when possible. I would like them to be off because Mavericks does not detect them anyway.
As far as I can see mine is Mac Pro 3.1...
Sleep/Wake work well for me either. My problem is I don't get the HDD's turned off but I guess it's because Mavericks doesn't recognise that SATA controller. I've posted here this thing earlier but I can't figure it out yet.
Here is one thing that maybe someone has a solution for.
As maybe you've seen before I have a P7P55D-E.
The problem is I use 2 RAIDs 0 on it and the Mavericks does not detect them.
All I can see is the Marvell controller that the Mavericks is installed on.
Do you think there is a way to...
Hi. I installed the DSDT for older BIOS 1504. Can this be risky?
I don't like to downgrade the BIOS because I run 2 Raids 0 and I don't want any troubles with them.
Also in the link you provided my motherboard is not listed.
As far as I can see it works well but I\m not sure if it's safe.
Hi. I'm new here and also new in all that MacOS is.
I have an Asus P4P55D-e motherboard with bios 1601.
Somehow I managed to Install Mavericks using Unibeast and Multibeast. As far as I can see everything goes normal as expected the performance it's great so nothing to complain so far.
