Great to hear! Thank Stork :p
Sorry that's not working. I would try to boot in verbose mode with "-v" boot flag and check if you see anything interesting about USB. Also, check system info under the USB section and maybe post what you have. Worst case, reinstall Yosemite and remember to not...
I have the ATX not micro, but should be very similar. it all looks good in system preferences and sound properties. Haven't tested cause I use a wireless usb turtle beach headset, but later I will try for you. I just used the kexts in multibeast just like in mavericks.
Please please read post 5 of this thread about the bios options. especially "Intel Virtualization Technology" and "Vt-d". Also, after install, you do not run the USB 3.0 kext from multibeast. big no no for our boards. Let us know whats going on.
yup. on mine, in boot selection menu. i have p1 *hard drive* and uefi *hard drive*. uefi just doesnt boot at all.
In the Z97 guide I posted earlier...
Great news. Mavericks and Yosemite were nearly identical installations for me on my Gigabyte Z97x Gaming 5 mobo. Just follow the guides and my instructions carefully and I am sure you will be fine.
Also, when you install Yosemite and run Multibeast after install, DO NOT select the USB 3.0...
Thats half the battle. on our Z97 gigabyte boards, Intel Virtualization Technology is like 1 or 2 lines above Vt-d on the classic BIOS. This HAS to be disabled. I don't know why the guides don't have this.
Also, since you loaded default bios settings (right.....right!?!), XMP should be...
You guys might be missing some important steps.
1. Load optimized default bios settings.
2. Disable Vt-d AND Intel Virualization Technology
3. Enable AHCI for sata (default for my Gigabyte z97)
When I first installed Yosemite it gave me kernel panics and then when I got past them, the install...
Here is the link to the thread that talks about it and the post to remove the driver.
I personally just reinstalled yosemite cause it only takes 15min total for me.
Yes I figured it out. Stork mentioned this in a yosemite guide and other people in some threads been mentioning it. When you do the very first multibeast run, DO NOT select USB 3.0 Universal. that is only for series 5&6 boards, I believe. 7, 8, and 9 series do not need that usb kext...
I am running just one right now. 2970 is still great. higher than any 700 series I have seen. Not exactly sure why mine is almost doubled. My GPU overclock is only on my windows SSD, not mac; Software based GPU OC. I just ran another test after another clean install (without...
Is there a way to revert the usb 3.0 universal? I would prefer not to reinstall cause i got my GTX 970 working great.
Edit: I just did a clean install and did not select USB 3.0 Universal. All USB's are working great now. Thanks again :)
