    Graphics Test: Bruce X

I pretty much follow Pastry's build. The only uncommon thing I have is the Nitro plus version of the GPU. Maybe i'll just open a thread about it to see if anyone can help.

Can't get 5K to work with Dell UP2715K and Mojave install with AMD Vega 64

I also have a vega64 and I am considering this monitor so I am just commenting to keep an eye. 5k is achieved by sending two streams o video to the monitor. It will be hard to fix the problem if you're reluctant to try things. I would read this...

Geekbench Metal: 207598 Geekbench Open CL:200513 Results are oddly similar. I was using VGTab before the update, I didn't bother after this update since results were the same and just dropping the kext in EFI doesn't work for me, it fails boot so I have to follow the Injection Guide and paste...

Update went fine for me too. It fixed an issue I had where quite a few video export formats were not working in Final Cut. My BruceX results are still slower (16seconds) than a ton of users with RX580 while I have a Vega64, have no idea why but it started in 10.14.2

    Graphics Test: Bruce X

A bit frustrated to have results slower than so many users with 580's when i have a Vega 64 :( Results went down from 12s since OSX 10.14.2 Just updated to OSX 10.14.4 FCP 10.4.6, Background rendering disabled. BruceX Test 5K ProRes 422 - 16 seconds average. BruceX Test 5K H.264 - 18 seconds...

    Native Instruments Maschine MK3

Late response, sorry, I a replying just in case anyone sees this. The Mk3, as well as any other MIDI controller, works fine in Hackintoshes, so something must be wrong with your USB configuration.

I am also very curious to how well that antenna works, please post results once you get it working, seems like a very elegant solution.

Unusual question incoming: I use Music software professionally (from Native Instruments) that for some stupid reason stores system information including CPU Clock in the same files related to its a licensing system, for some reason it sometimes detects my Clock speed at 3697 and sometimes at...

At idle? Wow... That's odd since you have liquid metal on yours and mine is stock. Maybe its because I have an open case and it's winter out here. I guess i'll settle for 600Rpm or something then, thanks.

Nah, at least not for me. I was on 10.14.2 and performance compared to 10.14.0 was already low, I updated to 10.14.3 in hopes it would be fixed or better but the results are mostly the same.

In April I was getting this result: Now on 10.14.3 and FCP 10.4.5 I am getting from 18 to 20 seconds... :banghead: Thats almost double the time

Anyone else noticed a big decrease in GPU performance in the last few updates? My BruceX bench result went from 11 seconds to 18 seconds :( Hey @pastrychef when setting up VGTab are you able to get Vega to stop spinning at idle? Without VGTab the GPU fans don't spin at idle but after something...

No USB cards. I do have some MIDI USB2 controllers connected to the red gen2 USB's of the MB, should I just avoid using them? Thanks. Wow... I had never seen liquid metal on top of an IHS before, you're a brave one sir. Merry Xmas!

Since updating from 10.14 to 10.14.2 I am having ocasional crahes, any idea what might be going on? Here's a log: What's the app used for that hardware info? Did you use liquid metal on top of the IHS instead of thermal paste? Wow... That's scary as hell.

Radeon Compatibility Guide - ATI/AMD Graphics Cards

My bad, I spoke too soon. After the GPU does something demanding like video render or playing a 3d game it won't turn off the fans once temps go back down, it stays at a low rpm :S I have seen people mentioning some possible solutions but I haven't tried them yet.

Tried again today and it did work fine, I have no idea why it didn't before, I haven't changed anything since. Same as me, SMART is enabled on all drives except for the system NVMe. I spoke too soon, same issue. After something pushes the GPU it the fans stay on when idle, for me sleep and wake...
