    Security update 2019-003 Hangs

Yes, I did so. My Vega 64 just arrived today. I have put it in and can't boot either... Same hang while booting. It's frustrating. Booting with the iGPU works, but neither the GTX nor the Vega allow me to boot the system. I can't even use the USB installation drive. It spits out the same error...

    Security update 2019-003 Hangs

I managed to re-install 10.13.6 (17G65, that is pre security updates) with my UniBeast USB drive. With onboard graphics I got rid of the flickering and colors are good again. As soon as I'm inserting my NVIDIA card, I get the error message about allocation of runtime area...

    Security update 2019-003 Hangs

So, what did you do to get it up again? When I take out my NVIDIA card I can boot the system. Graphics are flickering and the colors are off, but I can make changes to the system. First I deleted the Installer Folder in the root directory, so the security update will no longer be asked to be...

    Security update 2019-003 Hangs

Damn, I ran the update last night and my Hack won't boot anymore. I'm using Clover and can choose between booting OSX or the reboot to finish the OSX update. Both end in the error message attached. Through Clover I can't use the boot options for safe mode, Recovery etc. At least pressing Shift...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Install Intel Power Gadget. This way you will be able to track your CPU's most important values. Also the temperature will be displayed ;) In the beginning I had my machine crashing while rendering/caching started in Resolve and Final Cut because the system shut down due to the heat the CPU...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Do you have the 1080Ti already put into your rig? You need to install OSX without Nvidia cards first using onboard graphics and set up Nvidia cards after successfully installing OSX. Do you use verbose mode during booting? Those messages are mandatory for troubleshooting. Set -v as a permanent...

    [Success] Sierra (now Big Sur) - ASUS Prime Z270-A - 64GB - i7 7700K 4.2Ghz - XFX Radeon RX 580 8 GB

Thanks Middleman for your answer. Since January I got it all sorted out and my system is up and running since. ;) By the way, on the Asus Z370-A hotplugging TB3 was possible from the very beginning for my monitor and video converter box without any special configuration. Maybe because of both...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Here your are! I have compiled a custom SSDT to get rid of the 15 port limit patch. I figured out 18 ports to be active on the motherboard, but I'm not really sure about HS07 and HS08. But I haven't had any glitches so far ignoring them. For those, who want to tackle a custom SSDT I'll provide...

    Skylake ASUS ThunderboltEX 3 Testing

Booting shouldn't be an issue either... At least I have no problems with booting at all. That said, I'm still on 10.13.2 since I had no time for a whole system back up and messing around with Nvidia's non-working video drivers under 10.13.3. It seems like I will wait even more, since you scare...

I'll check my settings when I'm back home, if that helps. I got the Asus TBEx3 runnig fine on my Prime z370-A.

NVIDIA Releases Alternate Graphics Drivers for macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (387.10.10.10.25)

The syntax is wrong in your post. You call the script by only typing: sudo webdriver -u URL etc. And yes, a version number isn't necessary either. Otherwise thank you for the very helpful instructions. Now I'm back on CUDA on my MBP which was not selectable with the latest webdriver. Get your...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Make sure you read Postings # 15 & 25 of this thread! RAM should not cause any problem this way. Installing a m.2 NVM worked flawless, AFTER using any other SSD/HDD first and cloning OSx to the m.2. For me no particular BIOS Settings were involved, but Clover configurations for RAM and boot device.

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Thank you BreBo. This fixed my problem! Now that I'm back in the GUI I can confirm, that Thunderbolt 3 works under High Sierra! :headbang: I have installed all the drivers for the ThunderboltEx 3 PCI card in my Windows 10 distribution. Back in OSX TB is set up properly. Right now I'm looking...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Could someone elaborate on getting a NVIDIA card to work, please? I followed a guide from another platform but I end in a boot loop. I have a ASUS Dual GTX 1060 OC 6GB Gaming. I researched all your config files and don't know what else to do. - In Clover Configurator I set: Boot...

    Coffee Lake - i7 8700K + ASUS PRIME Z370-A attempt

Maybe you could help me figuring this out together? I have the Mobo and the TBEX3 card but can't even get it to work under Windows 10. I have a dual boot with Win 10/OSX 10.13.2 and set up Windows first to install the TB drivers. After fiddling around in BIOS and setting the according PCIE slot...

Could you please tell me if this applies after your update to High Sierra or was this still/only with Sierra. I need both: Thunderbolt & High Sierra 10.13.x, so your approval would be highly apprechiated!

    [SUCCESS] 10.12.6 Asus Z270 Prime A + i7 7000 + GTX1070 + Samsung 960 EVO NVMe + Thunderbolt EX3

Hi Middleman, finally I found an appealing (to me) setup for my plan about building a CustoMac for me. Working TB is simply great news to me and all parts you use are still available, which is great also. Because I want HEVC support for video editing, I'm in the need for High Sierra. Do you...
