    [Solved] Shutdown = Reboot

I am not using Catalina, but you could try these things Use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000 instead of AptioMemoryFix - You may find EmuVariable okay after that. Remove slide=0 In clover bootloader Clover UEFI Boot Mode + Emulated NVRAM

Best software for imaging a Hackintosh drive when upgrading to an SSD

Yes, I think that is the way to go. It will probably work in Journalled Extended but APFS is better for the newer systems. You might want to research - lenovo laptop format to make sure.

Best software for imaging a Hackintosh drive when upgrading to an SSD

Hi, I would use Disk Utility to format the new drive. Then use Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the HDD. This will not copy the EFI partition though. You will need to do that manually. Use Clover Configurator to mount both the EFI partitions. Drag, drop and replace the EFI folder to the new drive. Be...

(Solved) Z390 9900k Sleep / Shudown Restart Issue

Hi, I just thought I would mention a fix I found for the sleep - or shutdown restart issue. When I did my build I tried all the latest iMac SMBIOS. Everything worked except sleep and shutdown. Both caused a restart. I tried all the usual stuff and was resisting more complicated fixes. By...

9900k - Not a Hot CPU - The easy way

My post was for mere mortals, not experts such as yourself:) Delidding is not something I would contemplate. Update I tried overclocking to 5.0Ghz but temps soared to 100C. At 4.9 in the high 95C. At 4.8 tolerable 90C. The difference between 4.8Ghz and 4.7Ghz is not great in performance terms...

9900k - Not a Hot CPU - The easy way

Everybody has said that the 9900k is really hot. I believed them all. I resolved to use my 9900k at standard settings. It is still fast, but it was hot and noisy with fans as well. Until I read this https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/9900k-5ghz-1-2v-guide-gigabyte-z390-master.18837783/...

    Can't Get to Install Screen - Asrock Z370 Pro4

    Can't Get to Install Screen - Asrock Z370 Pro4

I agree with you implicitly. I never said you should start your Mac with the drive. Simply, after setting it up, move it to the build. If you have never used this method, I suggest you try. It is much easier.

    Can't Get to Install Screen - Asrock Z370 Pro4

If you have a Mac, this may help. There is another way to approach the initial install. If you have a Mac and a USB HDD drive that is bootablefrom usb port, you can bypass the USB flash drive method. I found this to be far less troublesome. I do a clean install to the USB HDD, then use...

Advice on parts for build. Want to run Mojave & edit 4K video

Sounds like a great build. Although the RM650 may do the job, I would go with a better PSU. The RM850X is a much better choice to run all that lovely gear. The RM650 will be running hot, especially if you clock the cpu. If you buy bigger, it will be quieter.

Help! Shutdown causes reboot! New Asrock Z390 ITX - Tried all typical solutions...

I had a similar problem with a Gigabyte board. It was to do with power management setting in Bios. I think I fixed it by enabling Erp. This cuts off the power to USB ports after shutdown. Disabled allows them to be powered and anything connected can cause a restart.
