I have no idea why, but did a quick reinstall of the latest patched AppleHDA.kext for 10.7.3 from MultiBeast 4.5.1 on my system (deleting all old audio kexts first) and now the audio works. Tried twice before on an old 10.7.3 install and a fresh 10.7.4 copy.
I guess third time's a charm.
This is awesome. I finally see all P-States showing now which I've never seen before.
Ironically, I once had sleep working but not speedstep, now it's the other way round. Also need to fix my audio as 10.7.4 broke it.
Ok, I am on the 0803 modified ROM (with a few tweaks such as custom POST screen logo, SLIC etc.) with the associated DSDT file here and everything appears to be working. I finally have sleep on this motherboard!
Just to confirm that SpeedStep is also working I ran MSRDumper and I've gotten this...
DH2G - 2011 MacBook Pro 13" i5 @ 2.3Ghz 8,1
By the way, I don't understand how the Y and W values work in the newer format.
For instance, on my MBP:
Y = F
W = L
How does that translate to what year (2011) and week (between 1-17 or so)?
This lookup seems pretty accurate...
The USBFamiliyMod2.0.kext is only really useful for basic USB devices such as mass storage, mice, keyboards etc.
Have you installed a DSDT for your motherboard? You can find them for the latest Gigabyte motherboards here: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2009/12/ ... oards.html
I found that as...
I'm on the latest BIOS for mine, which is the F9J BETA from June last year.
Anyway, mine's sorted. I extracted and modified my motherboard's DSDT with the standard fixes for the Gigabyte boards and my iPhone is now showing, YAY!
I'm in a similar boat, have a very different type of motherboard though. My USB memory stick and other USB devices are working fine - just not my iPhone!
I'm hoping it's related to not having a DSDT loaded but not ruling out other causes.
Re: DSDT Database for non-P55 Motherboards
Hiya, first post. I just want to thank you for the great tools you've released - I've had near 100% success with my current hardware, which is an 100x improvement over all the other methods laying about the internet that I've tried.
