I had no chance with the "contact us" button (I'm still waiting an answer).
My problem is actually that I posted a new thread in "Mojave Desktop Support" but it might require approval of moderator before being public (may be due to images or external links idk), but I posted it days ago and I...
I'm totally off-topic but I do need to contact you (or another moderator) in private but since I do not have enough messages I can't do that. I have tried the "contact us" days ago button below but without success.
Is there a way for me to reach you or you to reach me please...
You can (IMO)! I have RX 550 in slot 1 and, GTX 1060 in slot 2.
- Device Management > (right click) RX 470 > Disable device
Under macOS (EFI): not 100% sure but if possible, you gonna need to build SSDT-DiscreteSpoof.aml
- See that strong guide from RehabMan. OK, this is a bit...
First point: I don't know well macOS logging and can't answer.
Second point: I think keeping Clover & your kexts up to date is a best practice. So, yes, if I were you, I would tried that
My experience with 970 EVO Plus: fresh install about two weeks ago, absolutely no reboot / strange behaviour...
Thanks to you for your patch! It works :D
- GTX 1060 in slot 1 (for Windows, where RX 550 is deactivated in Device Management section)
- RX 550 in slot 2 for OS X.
I still have cosmetic problems on both sides (that I will soon detail in a success guide but those are not...
Very good news here! I received my RX 550 today and it's working OOB. Since I use the 3 video outputs (DP, HDMI, DVI) I had the "pink tint" problem on the DVI port (which I use with a DVI to HDMI adapter). Problem solved in a minute with this guide. If anyone knows a better idea to solve...
I ordered a Radeon RX 550 few days ago. It should arrive before the end of October (currently out of stock - new product).
I took a careful look about RX 550 card before buying it (but I paid it about 60€, so if it doesn't work, that's not big money...). From what I've read, only "new" RX 550...
I have just received my Samsung 970 EVO Plus (500GB) today - last firmware from factory.
Fresh install of macOS Mojave (10.14.2) on it without any problem. Since then, no crash or reboot at all. I will keep you informed of any problem.
Actually I didn't try it at all. You may know that macOS High Sierra has been released, so the lazy boy I am is just waiting for native support to clean install again :D
In my case, on first boot (with USB) my screen was plugged on my GPU but that was displaying 1366*768 (or something lower)...
I'm glad I could have helped you
So, now you need to run the latest version of Multibeast and select the appropriate options to install the various kexts corresponding to your hardware.
- For this MB, I installed the following :
- UEFI Boot Mode
If I remember well, I just disable CFG-lock and enable XHCI Handoff from UEFI settings. So just charge the Default Optimised by pressing F6 and then search CFG and XHCI in UEFI (there is a very nice search bar) and select the appropriate settings.
Do not forget to enable -v option in...
EDIT : I successfully built that Hackintosh and everything seems to work fine except audio + I have some slowness after waking up the machine from sleep. I plan to edit that post to make "success guide" for people struggling with Z270 MSI MB + GTX 1060 Graphic card.
