Hello all,
Got a nice setup running Big Sur w/ Opencore 0.6.4 on a GA-Z77P-D3, i7 3770 and a Sapphire RX 580. As far as I can tell everything works except sleep when attaching the USB cable for bluetooth from the BCM94360 Wifi card to the USB2 internal header. When the WiFi/BT USB cable is...
For anybody that might use help getting this aging equipment running on a current version of Opencore (0.6.5) and Big Sur, here's my EFI. This was built using my extracted DSDT and SSDT's for the Z68MX. Currently running the latest version of the UEFI bios for this board, and also using a...
Opencore on this motherboard has not been good. The problem: following resuming from sleep, the thing will lockup - total freeze, just like the old Windows 95 used to do 26 years ago.
It locks up in Opencore whether booting into Catalina or Big Sur. The old Clover setup never does that in...
Got a smoothly running (fresh install) of Catalina on the DELL Optiplex 9020 (Core i7 using onboard GPU (non-discreet)). Everything works that I can tell (audio, ethernet, usb, sleep, wake). The hard part was making a bootable USB with a properly configured Clover bootloader.
So, I attached a...
Got a smoothly running (fresh install) of Catalina on the HP Elite 8300 (Core i7 using onboard GPU (non-discreet)). Everything works that I can tell (audio, usb, sleep, wake). The hard part was making a bootable USB with a properly configured Clover bootloader.

Successfully built a hack of macOS Mojave 10.14.2 on this (old but not dead) Gigabyte EP45-UD3L (rev 1.0) motherboard with a Core2Duo E8400 CPU and GTX 650 Ti GPU. It was done with plenty of trial and error, but it’s now virtually flawless. Here’s my lessons learned.
Presumption you are...
Yes, I know it's an ancient setup, but is still fun to hackintosh it...so don't judge.
Trying to get Mojave on an EP45-UD3L with a C2D E8400 and 650 Ti (build #3). Actually got all the way through the installation phase and 3 or so reboots, but it won't get into the final GUI. It gets through a...
Help,
I jacked around with Clover Configurator, hiding a couple of things I didn't want to see anymore. Specifically I put "EFI" and "HD2" in the Hide Volume box of Gui (see attached picture). Now upon reboot, I only see my windows boot drive and nothing else...and as a result, I can't boot...
Having a problem with Clover where I get a clover bootloader screen with no drives listed, I hit "Exit Clover" and it goes immediately to another clover bootloader screen, this time with the drives listed.
It's a clean install of 10.13.2 on Build 1 (legacy mode) and applied the latest...
Tonymac's new Unibeast was a huge breakthrough. Thank you Tonymac and team. Followed the Unibeast USB fresh installation guide without deviation (except I needed to select FixDarwin=true after multibeast setup). Installed HS on the Z68MX (F13 legacy bios) on my old spinning HDD flawlessly...
A qualified success at getting El Capitan 10.11.2 working very well (and pretty easily) on the Z68MX-UD2H-B3 using the legacy F13 BIOS (Non-UEFI) with the Nvidia 650 Ti. Here's the summarized steps:
1. Build the Unibeast USB as Legacy and inject Nvidia.
2. put NullCPUPowerManagement.kext onto...
Looking for a DSDT for the GA-EP45-UD3L v 1.0 on F9 bios. I've heard the DSDT posted on tonymacx86 is for the v1.1 board, and when I use it on my ver 1.0 board, the wake from sleep doesn't work...it goes to sleep, but on wake it completely re-boots.
Got ML installed with a fresh install and these MB settings w/ f12 bios (see screenshot). Everything seems to work except these nagging issues:
- CPU multiplier stuck (i.e. won't speed step). Without NullCPUPowerManagement installed, its stuck an minimum speed (x16) and with...
