    Is Norton my issue?

Thanks. I disabled it right before I put up the post and (s0far) haven't had a restart

    Is Norton my issue?

Not yet, I didn't want to get rid of the protection if that wasn't the issue. I figured I'd ask to see if someone who knows how to read the error reports could let me know.

    Is Norton my issue?

I am getting restarts, usually while browsing. The error message is below and usually symantec as the kernal in backtrace. Is symantec/norton my problem? Thanks panic(cpu 6 caller 0xffffff80180469aa): Kernel trap at 0xffffff7f98adbe92, type 14=page fault, registers: CR0: 0x0000000080010033...

    MultiBeast Install Failure

Upgraded from to HS from Sierra, along with the APFS switch. Did the installation from a USB but now the APFS drive is not recognized as a boot option in Clover and when I try to add the necessities via MultiBeast I get a message that the install failed for the bootloader. I can see the APFS...

Update Directly to macOS High Sierra

Jane, stop this crazy thing!!!! So I tried to do the upgrade but the "loading bar" stops about 90% every time. I'm OK not doing the upgrade but how the hell do I get to stop restarting into the upgrade on it's own? I suppose there is a Terminal command I need to use to cancel the upgrade??

FYI: Works OOB in El Capitan > Rosewill RNX-AC1900PCE, Dual Band Wireless AC1900 Wi-Fi Adapter

I have one that will work on both 2.4 &5 GHz on the Windoze side, but hit-or-miss with 2.4 on the Mac side. Then sometimes I can get internet but not see my printer (that works from iPhone...)

    ROSEWILL RNX-AC1900PCE - no 2.4GHz

So I upgraded to a Rosewill RNX-AC-1900PCE wifi card about a week ago. Got the TP-Link Archer C7 too, to get the AC speed. Still have the Comcrap networks active for the wireless printer and to keep the AC for myself (heh heh heh). Everything was working fine until the other day, now I can...

Moving/Cloning El Capitan to new SSD

I just upgraded my SSD to a larger drive. I used SuperDuper to make the swap. Once installed on the new SSD, you will need to use UniBeast and "reinstall" your Mac OS to install the recovery drive and other odd things that don't get transferred. I used it as an opportunity to do the 10.11.4...

Boot Loop (Fans spin then it all restarts)

I'm thinking the issue in the attached photo is my issue... When I went to turn my cooler, my dumb a$$ disconnected from the back side of the MoBo instead of the front side spring-screws and apparently gouged the board and about 9 paths... Curious if the CPU is still good or if I hosed that...

Boot Loop (Fans spin then it all restarts)

Having the same issue all of a sudden. I went to add RAM so I had to turn my CPU cooler. Added RAM, powered up and now in a boot loop. Don't even get LED error codes. It also switches back and forth between the MBIOS & BBIOS. Pulled EVERYTHING systematically, same results. :banghead: Can post...

NO complete shutdown screen goes black fans still running!

BUMP Similar issue - everything quiets down, external drive activity in "sleep" mode but never fully shuts down. Also have an issue where I can use the keyboard to wake it from sleep, but need to push the power button to get the display signal...

    PCI SSD card question

The SSD cards they use in at least this model of MBP are proprietary. You *need* an interface card.

    PCI SSD card question

My girlfriend's son got caught in the rain with his MBP and didn't get it dried out soon enough. I purchased a PCI adapter(2 different cards, actually. both for his particular SSD model) for his SSD to see if we can salvage anything from it but neither OSX nor Windows show the card. Is there...

Adding Windows to a completed build

There are a few threads around regarding this, try a search on "dual boot". The biggest thing is to disconnect your Mac OS drive while doing the Windoze install. Not sure about parallels, but I have Fusion pointed to my Win Drive, works fine. You may need to go into the setup and re-order...
