[GUIDE] macOS Big Sur on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

Hi @canon1976, please avoid using exclamation mark or triple exclamation marks and when you have something to add edit your previous post instead of sending subsequent messages. Thanks for understanding. With Apple TV do you mean the Apple TV macOS app? What is the codec and the file type of...

[GUIDE] macOS Big Sur on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

Hey @viorel78, thanks for sharing. It works like a charm and I noticed that you also updated the kexts to the latest version. After changing a couple of settings according to my preferences, I replaced the EFI.zip attachment on my first post with this updated version.

[GUIDE] macOS Big Sur on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

@deeveedee I'll keep that in mind for the future. Thanks a lot for sharing. @viorel78 Got it. Thank you for explaining, makes sense to me, but I can ensure you that I've been trying my setup for days and I didn't have any BSOD on Windows or USB power management issues (tried USB pen drives and...

[GUIDE] macOS Big Sur on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

I have the same issue I had with Catalina last year. Bluetooth works on macOS and the card is active and successfully detected (from "System Report"), but it doesn't detect any Wi-Fi network. On Windows, both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi work perfectly fine. At this point I am unable to understand if...

Hi everyone  This is a step-by-step guide about how to install macOS Big Sur on an ASRock DeskMini 310 like mine. If you have a similar hardware configuration, it may work for you too. Even if I wrote a similar guide on how to install macOS Catalina about one year ago, I made a clean...

Finally I've been able to install macOS Big Sur on my DeskMini 310 with Open Core (dual boot with Windows 10). It works like a charm! I'll write a step-by-step guide very soon.

I see. I don't know OpenCore, but I'll give it a try. I'll probably update my DeskMini 310 to Big Sur in a couple of weeks. Thanks for sharing the guide!

Honestly, I don't know. The motherboard is completely different, so I don't expect it to work out of the box. But please try and let me know. Thank you @Yaroslavl, glad to hear that!

Hi @maui87, no worries! I'm still using Clover 5018 and everything works fine, there's no need to update it yet. About the Apple Photos faces scan issue, I didn't have anything similar. It works on my configuration. Did you try to rebuild the Photos app cache?

[GUIDE] macOS Catalina on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

I understand. I'm sure if you try headphones with one cable (audio + mic, combined) with the bottom port, everything will work. I don't know if the issue you're having depends on hackintosh or audio inputs of DeskMini. Do you have the chance to try your headphones with Windows on the same PC?

[GUIDE] macOS Catalina on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

Yes, these EarPods work. I plugged the 3.5mm jack in the front bottom audio port. Why are you using two cables? I used this USBPorts.kext file and it just worked for me, I don't know if it was a custom one or not. I'm sorry I am unable to provide you any other detail. Did you already try with...

@viorel78 It works. Just tried with my EarPods on Catalina 10.15.2. @leegs Looks great! Thanks to you for sharing your experience with us. In case I need Wi-Fi on my DeskMini, I would definitely buy the DW1820A and follow your suggestions. @Tian321 I'm sorry, but I've never had this issue...

[GUIDE] macOS Catalina on ASRock DeskMini 310 with 9th Gen Intel Core CPU, Dual-Boot

Yes, at first I wanted to try with DW1820A as well, but then I read that someone was having issues with that card so I opted for the BCM94360CS2 one. But, as you can see, I had no luck (or half luck, since Bluetooth works) anyway.:banghead: Please let me know once you receive it if...
