    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

This is interesting as I have also noticed an increase in temp on my system, but I also updated the bios and figured it was due to that. I’m also about +10c higher in temps. Maybe I’ll build the kexts one by one and see what’s going on...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Yes it is, but I’m using the iMac20,2 SMBIOS so maybe that is the critical difference?

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Something to counter the 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' BIOS update argument: BIOS updates -do- often contain unmentioned bug fixes. An example of this is the newly released F8c bios for the Vision-G; it contains bug fixes to the boot selector menu that I reported to Gigabyte, but goes...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

I tried it with whatevergreen still installed and it had no improvement (but still worked). I’ll try removing WEG and binary patch Board-ID to Board-IX and see what that does (at some point) :)

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

I would consider this myself, but with an RX5700xt, I believe you need whatevergreen agdpmode=pikera to mitigate boot-to-black screen, yet its whatevergreen itself that breaks DRM. Can someone confirm my logic?

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

I figured it out: I needed to enable ExtendBTFeatureFlags in Opencore to get it to work in Big Sur, which I did NOT need to do in Catalina. I have a genuine Airport card from a Macbook Pro, but I suspect it is now old enough that that particular card is 'obsoleted'. ExtendingBTFeatureFlags could...

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Question to the room: Does anyone here have SideCar working in Big Sur on iMac20,2 SMBIOS? I have SideCar working in Catalina, but the same EFI does not enable it in Big Sur. Thanks!

Well, Dortania is run by acidanthera so I’d say there’d a pretty high chance of that. :)

So, if it means a lot to get rid of it, you can try making a USBportmap.kext with hackintool instead of using USBinjectall.kext and associated SSDT, and see it it continues to be absent when booting windows through the Opencore boot picker.

The device ID of UIA0 sure reminds me of UsbInjectAll. Does the device show up when you boot windows from the bios boot options? Edit:autocorrect fail

    Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

Perhaps try the NVMe in the slot under the x16 slot, and monitor the NVMe temps with the gfx card in the x16 slot. Then the x8 slot? Maybe that will help decide which compromise will reap the most benefit?
